and that’s just about personal stressors, not even accounting for the fucked up shit happening on a national to international scale. i simply feel weak and listless when i think of current events, so i’ve found myself comfortable as a less-informed cog, which is a different kind of depressing. blah.
this feeling also leaves me with guilt for wanting to engage in hobbies or relaxation. i feel a push to improve, to excel. being playful or silly feels like a premium experience that i’ll have to pay for down the line, or feels unearned, or some other slight negative, and is usually fleeting anyway.
finding it hard to deal with multiple small, disparate, stress-inducing tasks that still need my time and attention to get done. i feel like i have no motivation left for completing certain things rn, and i feel myself turning to retail therapy to uplift me, but that’s a distraction and i know it.
