Saying something is a killer product because it is used by many people is a weak argument. MacDonalds is use by many. Funeral agencies. Microsoft Windows. They solve a need. The product isn’t necessarily good tho. ChatGPT is a good search tool with large flaws but more convenient than Google.
This is like arresting Al Capone for tax evasion. We need to plainly ban those in the EU at least. No sane society should accept camouflaged data harvesting and privacy evasion.

In Portugal it has meaning. It means a very specific type of diet (more or less grilled food with olive oil, fish based mostly! :D). But surely other countries in Europe will have different meanings as our food is pretty different. Dunno how it is interpreted in America.

I generally don't 100% achievements in games unless I REALLY like them. For Hades 2 I had to do it, such a good game. The music, the gameplay, the balance, the variety of builds, dialogs, artwork. The magnus opus of Supergiant Games (so far).

This is super cool. I have been thinking for a while to create a game too, just to embed on my website with multiplayer also using Elixir (my site already uses Elixir and Phoenix). But I haven't found a game I would like to replicate that is easy enough and fun. Lumines is a good idea! Good job!

I've been paying for 1Password for about 4 years now, I really like the apps the integrated SSH agent, but come on, this is a MASSIVE increase. For someone in Portugal I can't justify steep increase. Already cancelling my subscription and moving back to Bitwarden or Proton.
I've used them for about 2 years on a startup and they worked pretty reliably I must say. This was 3/4 years ago though.
If the price is good for last mile instead of Fiber to the home it could be a solution I guess. For instance where I live there are some cables on poles which are damn ugly, maybe this could be a solution to that.

Oh so the sync thing you pay them is just for convenience, got it! I might look into Obsidian again then if I migrate from iOS and MacOS. To be honest, been hating what they been doing to MacOS. A Framework laptop looks appetizing once I need to upgrade.
How do you sync? You just sync files to a cloud service? Can you edit on mobile/tablet too? Last time I looked into it, it costed like 4 dollars per month to have syncing across devices.
I use Bear for my long form writing and Personal Knowledge management. I thought about changing to Obsidian but the monthly cost is too high for me to justify.

I haven't done that but what I've done several years ago was uninstalling any social media apps. Reddit was the only one left and that was a problem too, but once they killed custom apps that was it.
I don't even use WhatsApp anymore since that is a Mark Cuckerberg app. People can always use SMS.
Great read. Totally aligned with the games (haven’t played Deadlock tho). Hades 2 is simply marvellous. I had my doubts how different it could be from the first one, it’s the same game, but so much more refined, I can’t stop smiling while playing with all the sweet details the game has. RIP Patrick.
