Said very much with the luxury of knowing the owners are still contractually obligated to spend another £500M yet.

Belittling the financial effect of missing out on UCL is cute, but the consequences of finishing in a Europa league spot wont be brushed aside so easily.

So yup Carrick does and has for the last few games (imo) deserve a shot at the full time job but key to him lasting will be pace in CM and replacing/mitigating Casemiros lost aerial ability.

Without them, options for plan B are short.

Overall Carrick has the team performing far better in pts/game than Amorims system and crucially more solid in the same forrmation that Erik used.

Carricks point / game average is a PL winning average, the only times weve seen it this high since Fergie is in both Ole and Jose's runner-up seasons.

Speculation wise I think were not seeing plan B because we dont currently have plan B options, but I expect it will be to push dms up once we have more pace in MF and switch at least one IF for an out and out winger.

Most of those changes play to our strengths given the lack of pace in midfield and better ability to deal with crosses faced.

The idea were playing better beause opponents are worse is falacy, He can only face whats in front of him and his results have been better against better sides.

With that in mind youd expect to see

Less possesion✅
Less touches in the box✅
Less shots within the box✅

And Id expect (dont have time to check)

We concede many more crosses
Less susceptable to opposition fast breaks
Turnover possesion much lower down the pitch

Nice stats but you seem to be looking at them expecting to find a sweeping change?

The change is mostly an effect of formational change which leads to less posession, less sustained pressure and a more noticable drop in pressing to block off the middle.

Anyone else ever notice the camera on smartphones makes the definition and contrast too sharp?

Almost every shot, Senne ends up with a contrasting halo around his head that makes it look like its been photoshopped in afterwards.

It makes my brain itch because its so wrong.

Trump 'blocked from accessing nuclear codes' by head of US military US President Donald Trump is alleged to have received push-back from a senior military person in a meeting at the White House during an attempt to access his country's nuclear codes

Is the only check and balance to Trump going nuclear really the moral objection of a single General?

Trump already has a long record of meddling in military appointments and promotions.

Even if he couldnt find a general prepared to support his lunacy he will have no restraint in reshuffling.

Uh Oh... my Football Manager Install has been infected by a particularly nasty Virus which has caused everyone in the Arsenal squad to down with a Season ending injury.

Dont send help, they were only languishing in mid table mediocrity before the infection.🤣

Phones to be banned in schools by law in England, government says Education minister Jacqui Smith said the move would create

He plays a lot of minutes, doesnt get yellows but contracted to '28 and not blessed with pace.

Problem is Stuttgart have been consistent, so opening bid will need to be higher than youd expect for a player that doesnt tick all boxes.

I like him, but his lack of pace in the PL is an issue.

Always preferred Roadkill for top down, its closer viewpoint and faster speed felt a lot better.

Not averse to Stiller but once they mention interest his price will rocket.

Theyre stuck with an inflated price tag wherever they turn because every club knows United have to buy.

Only real option now is to suck it up and pay for the real target.

Also says a lot about the true value of 500M Zimbabwe dollars when the note includes a serial number with an even larger number of possible combinations. (676M)

That 156 was mentioned but it was believed the extra addiitional charges are conditional on the 130 being upheld.

I say 130 but I think it is actually 131, like you said, theres one that seems to constantly get dropped.

Anyway, Berie hiimself must be convinced of guilt if hes using that figure.😂

Hate to jump in, but...

Its 130 not 115.😂

Man City Premier League charges explained: What are they? What could punishment be? What's the timescale? Links to both BBC and Sky quoting 130.

Youre right Adam but its actually thought to be 130 charges now.

At first the original PL press release included an incorrect number but then they tacked a handful of extra charges on too.

City fans are like Playstation 5s , were told they exist, we see them on stands, but noone ever sees one in reality.

At this point I truly believe City fans are just other clubs fans that have gone under cover to see what *winning* the league feels like.

*cheating*

Of course on a more serious note Martinez's red card likely does have the huge knock on effect of more players thinking that long hair will get them more fouls.

Id say a four fold increase in pony tails and man buns on the pitch over the next five years is a near certainty right now.

On review the FA finds that Martinezs attack on a hair bobble caused all bobbles to be afraid for their own safety, so Haaland couldnt back down, which forced Gabriel to plant his head in Haalands face.

We have no option but to extend Martinezs ban until hair bobbles everywhere feel safe again.

It will got to review

And it will still be no more than a one match ban.

Not actually watching but surprisingly not surprised that my attempt at silly sarcasm sounds more grounded than stupid.

This season is that crazy.

Pfft pre planned that, bet the guy was cutting perforations in his sleeve pre-match.🤣

Theyre not ahead, theyre just working from the same page, Ineos have trimeed down scouting and they still barely agree as we heard with Sesko.

Maybe now we have a new head of scouting well get back on track but to be brutal we have neither the money or the squad to enable risks, yet.
