A wide bloom of light pink cactus flowers, sprouting from a bowl of cacti in one corner of a yard, with a green lawn visible behind.
The previous flowers, being shot from the right, showing a better view of the short, round cacti the flowers are sprouting from in the bowl.
If you need a little pick-me-up today, I hope this gorgeous bloom of cactus flowers I captured in my front yard last week lifts your spirits a bit.

Yeah, more than 1 would have been good. I was so on top of her weight/food/water because she also had stomach issues, I always knew before the scale.

Depends on the cat. My baby girl Evie was tiny and we had to keep a close eye on her too. She didn't love being picked up, but I would pick her up, quickly weigh both of us on the bathroom scale, put her down and weigh myself, then do the math. Good luck!

Otis B. Driftwood, a rumpled tuxedo cat, in his desk box. His face is close to the camera, hiding the rest of him and making him appear to be a disembodied head. As disembodied heads go, he looks placid and content.
I cannot believe you have the audacity to suggest that *any* picture I've taken of Otis *isn't* the best one I've ever taken of him.
That said, it's this one.

An embroidery hoop containing a sewn aerial view landscape. It depicts an apple orchard in bloom in the centre, allotments to the left and sheep in their field at the bottom. Train tracks go past the top of the orchard and allotment.
Sewn train tracks past an apple orchard (to the left).
An angled view of a sewn vegetable allotment surrounded by rough land, trees and with train tracks to the left.
An angled view of embroidered bushes and paths going through them leading to an orchard, allotment and fields.
'A simple (perfect) life' - my spring landscape is finally finished! An apple orchard in bloom, old railway, sheep with their lambs and an allotment being prepared for growing :) Zoom in to see all the other tiny details too... I think this might be my favourite aerial embroidery I've ever done!

It’s wild what they can mimic and how such teeny bodies can produce such loud sounds.

I love that a little bird decided to frame your former neighbors.
*As I put in earplugs to block out the birds going off in the tree outside my window.

Ok, the suffering wasn’t exactly the point. It was the triumph at FINALLY overcoming what had been, up until that moment, inevitable disappointment. So the hours or days or months of what turned from fun to grim determination were worth it! And yes, we are still talking about old Nintendo games.

Wait. Really? That feels wrong. I don’t know why though. Like, no make them suffer! The suffering is the point!

2 Bunny Rabbits in grass
Bunny rabbit looking at me from nearby
We often have a bunny rabbit or two scurry across our backyard. Tonight there were 4 bunnies! They were just hanging out & 1 hopped up w/in a 4 ft radius. There’s also a nest in our front door wreath w/a mama bird & 4 eggs. I’ve been lightly knocking to warn & she flies to a small tree & back. 🐇 🪺
