Fair, but our decision was a conscious one. We wanted better mileage, but didn't want to commit to full EV yet, hence hybrid. And that was driven by the rapid advances that are taking place with vastly improved charging and battery technology. We will be going full EV for our next vehicle.

That hasn't been my experience. We bought a 2025 Prius PHEV last November. It gets on average 60km on electric, and even when it switches, our fuel consumption is approx 3.5L/100km, which is about a third of what we used to get in our Santa Fe.
