I’m sure this guy has no idea he’s recycling a myth about the origin of the K-word as a slur against Jews
What does that do to my first name (Yusuf/Joseph)? ;-)
In case anyone has forgotten, the Crusades (1095-1291) was 200 years of Religious Extremists (European "Christians") attempting to wipe out every man, woman & child of another religion (Muslim) and to steal their land.
Is that REALLY the image any civilized human being would want to identify with ⁉️
some reporter should get him to agree that the fourth crusade was the best one. guaranteed he doesn't know the difference and will just agree if the reporter appears friendly
Is that the slur against Kat Abughazaleh as an Arab, or the one against AIPAC's hand-picked ringer Daniel Biss? Not saying one is worse than the other; but liberals seem "concerned" about only one of them. They're picking apart the other to find some sort of relevant criticism of Kat's campaign.
And no words for the slur against Kat Abughazaleh? (Ignore the thread parsing the reference for some sort of relevance to Kat personally. It's an obvious anti-Arab slur, pure & simple. Its cluelessness is a feature, not a bug.)
The President of the United States said I insulted Jesus.
You want to know what insults Jesus?
Kicking the sick off their healthcare.
Bombing schoolchildren in Iran.
Deporting moms and babies.
Covering up the Epstein files.
It's AIPAC. They put out a monstrous attack ad against her a couple weeks ago. They're terrified of seeing another (w/ Rashida Tlaib) Palestinian-American in Congress.
Fear. They're afraid of turning him against themselves by insinuating he's imperfect. He might have even ordered them too large on purpose, as a loyalty test. It's a cult.
“epstein class is iranian propaganda” is definitely something i’d expect the epstein class to say
Not really breaking any news here.
"Jews don't belong in American society."
Imagine a sitting member of Congress tweeting that. You can't. Thankfully, it'd never happen. And *if* it did, it'd be the end of their career and the biggest story in America.
But Ogles can say this about Muslims without any censure.
The bottom line is Trump sacrificed 8 American lives (& counting) and more than 1,000 Iranian lives (& counting) for nothing. He hurt the US & global economies, destabilized the Middle East, & will pull out with the same Iranian regime in power. There's no silver lining.
A senseless, criminal waste
It's so bad that we've reached a point where members of Congress casually discuss stripping citizenship from and deporting people because they don't like their views.
Warren: "It is still the case that the Trump admin cannot explain the reasons we entered this war, the goals we're trying to accomplish. The only part that seems clear is that while there is no money for 15m Americans who lost their healthcare, there's a billion a day to spent on bombing Iran."
you see we didnt hit iran. iran slipped and fell in the kitchen and thats why iran has a black eye. if iran would just stop being clumsy we wouldnt have to get so mad at them. if iran would just use its brain we wouldnt have to yell at iran...
One day the NYT's editors will read these stories again and be ashamed of themselves. Mamdani called the attack "heinous," "criminal," "reprehensible," "terrorism," and "the antithesis of who we are." The insinuation that he's conflicted about this is disgraceful. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/09/n...
I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.
Elizabeth Warren: "I am a hard no on a supplemental. This is not a war the American people want us to engage in. This is not a war that makes us safer ... No. No more money. The only thing Congress has the power to do is to stop actions like this through the power of the purse."
Has there ever been a time when the strategy of "if we just keep bombing civilians eventually they'll finally rise up to overthrow their oppressive government" ever worked?
"Numbers make things real. Numbers aren’t opinions. They just are. Being dead is not a matter of conjecture."

It’s me, a scholar of tours of Hell: fear and shame are excellent and effective pedagogical motivators. The idea that no one should ever be afraid or shameful is bad for society!
Trump to Latin American leaders: "I'm not learning your damn language. I don't have time."
Probably the most common bit of advice I give to students to improve their writing.
Have said this before in other forms, but will reiterate it here: if you're doing long-form writing of any sort, reading the words aloud into a microphone is a completely unparalleled cheat code. It's free, easy, and so effective it feels like it shouldn't be allowed. I do it in a few stages...
Photos of all the school children killed by a US strike in Minab, Ireland
The United States killed all these children last Saturday.
170 of them.
Every. Single. One.
Was Hamas hiding inside of the children?
Our troops are dying this isn’t a video game. The White House is posting so-called “hype” videos that mix real footage from the war in Iran with clips from movies and video games like Call of Duty. It’s an absolute disgrace.
