Two of their kind, and why is because during the war of humans and monsters the skeletons were the strongest with their powers and were the ones at the front lines, all of them fought and all of them died, the last that remain was sans and papyrus, both of their own parents died in the war

Like yes they are both skeletons monsters but that is just a normal species within the Monster race, and in my story and which an artist inspired me of it (though it’s been years and I don’t remember their name) is that the reason there are only two skeletons is because they are the last-

While I do love the idea of sans and papyrus being brothers whether they are related or not when I see people’s art of them being like siblings, shipping wise I prefer them unrelated because that just feels too weird for me and it works perfectly cause they don’t actually look alike

Note-
In this fanfiction of characters I ship together such as Sans and Papyrus? I have them unrelated biologically, and to explain, I like UT Sans and UT Papyrus yes with an almost brotherly type friendship but they aren’t related neither officially legally brothers in my shipping fanfics.
