Maybe the walk to Gibson Mill and Hardcastle Craggs. A drink at the Blue Pig or a gig at the Trades Club. A walk along the canal to Todmorden and dinner at the Gold Lion pub. A longer walk up to Stoodley Pike or just a wander around town. Lots of nice options.

There's some great stuff in your shop. The reflected salt & pepper shakers are particularly nice.

One lesson from the Epstein–Mandelson affair is that we need to stop routinely rehabilitating political careers after serious scandals.

When politicians knowingly engage in grave ethical wrongdoing, that should permanently end their political careers. Being "talented" should not override that.

This mural has gone up in Kingston, ostensibly for Christmas but AI has ensured it's actually to celebrate the return of our dark lord Cthulhu

I love being in the right place at the right time and getting one of the secret "cleaning" drinks from the office coffee machine. #serendipitea

Something about it photo makes it feel like a render from a late 90's PC game.

Humphrey’s world: how the Samuel Smith beer baron built Britain’s strangest pub chain Since the 1970s, Humphrey Smith has acquired scores of pubs and historic properties around the UK. But time after time, he has left the buildings empty. Why has he allowed his empire to moulder?

Humphrey Smith is a very, very odd man.

Glad someone finally wrote about him. He's notoriously litigious so has escaped coverage for years. Fantastic piece.
