Skokie Swift service began April 20, 1964.
The Skokie Swift service was established by CTA with assistance from the Village of Skokie and federal housing grants as part of a two-year demonstration project to try a new model for rapid transit connecting post-WWII suburban areas with a city center.

It came in handy today, with storms starting to fire up along our route over IL, we were able to look at a fix further down our flight plan that worked with ATC and to avoid the wx about 200 miles before even asking for deviations.

For planning it's great, definitely an added feature. We obviously don't use it for deviating, but it's very useful. It was actually part of a TMAAT question in my interview.
