Bad news, I have been diagnosed with B-cell non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

If I hire him, he would try to get my dad a bond hearing, but its likely that he probably wouldn’t get below a $50,000 bond (so we’d still need $5k to get him out at the minimum).

Update: the State Attorney Office hasn’t received his case yet so they want me to check again on Wednesday afternoon.

I spoke with another Lawyer today and he quoted me a total 13k to represent my dad. He’d need $5k as a deposit, the other $5k over a 3 month payment plan, and then $3k before trial

We’re at about $600/7500.

Update: I got to speak with him today and made sure he had money on his books for personal items and ways to contact us. He hasn’t been assigned a public defender yet, so I’m contacting everybody I can to see what I can do to bring him home so he can work.

If you have any resources regarding aquiring legal counsel for criminal cases without having to sell an organ on the black market or taking out loans (because we don't have the assets nor the credit), please let me know.

My hope, is that when he goes to trial, things get dropped or at least he walks away with a misdemeanor, but I have been sick with worry and stress amidst academic burnout so I haven't been able to feel hopeful for long.

I meet with him tomorrow hopefully, so I can get more information from him as well as find out what he wants to do, how much money he has on hand, etc.

My goal is to bond him out so he can continue to work and help arrange his affairs before court.

I'm trying to quickly raise the money to bond him out as well as get resources to find him proper, affordable, legal defense before his next court appearance so he has the best shot at beating this in a state that is known for its population of incarcerated people.

My family desperately needs help.
