I don't care if I have supported an author for years, the moment they show themselves to be a bigot, or a gatekeeper, I cut them off. Authors SHOULD know better! We're better than this shit. Some of these authors I've followed for over 15 years, some I even shared pages with. Disappointing.
I love seeing awesome authors use AI to crank out a book in a week, and still be able to produce a quality product, and still be able to find a sizable audience. Given all the toxic hate to authors like us, it gives me hope. Slowly, the gatekeepers will fade away.
