Unfortunately, it’s a slippery slope kinda thing. If they can get away with this, and there’s no uproar— just imagine what they’ll do next. I love and care about my friend, but I’m also worried for many other groups of people.

For the next person who asks “why should I care about a bootlicker” and decides to block me after I make a thoughtful reply:
they can take away benefits from anyone. Next will be other LGB+ members, POC, women, and other “undesirables” who don’t fit their christian cis-male agenda.
What’s more is that these people are losing the benefits they signed up for. The US military has historically targeted poor folks for enlistment by dangling free education and home loans in front of their faces. This is also a part of the class fight. If they can take away benefits from trans folks
Even you could be denied benefits one day through the VA just being trans, even though you’ve served.
I may not agree with how the military has been / is used, but I wholeheartedly believe that our country should honor its commitments to people who are serving and who have served.
Because pretty soon it won’t just be trans in the military. It’ll be trans in federal government positions, trans in courtrooms, trans in public service, trans in the classrooms, trans in healthcare… & so on and so forth. They’re targeting military first bc there’s no recourse for active duty.

Being told that you’re “unfit for duty” is eerily similar to being told you’re “mentally ill”. How long before gen pop trans folks are deemed “unfit” for their chosen occupation? It’s all or nothing here, and this is just the beginning.
It’s important to support ALL trans folks and their rights, not just the ones in occupations we agree with. It sets a dangerous precedent if we let a group of trans folks from the military be treated like this. 1/2

If your response to the Air Force denying early retirement to separated trans service members is "Maybe they shouldn't have joined the genocide machine." Then you just made another group of trans people acceptable mulch for the machine and I have lost respect for you.
