NEW SKILLS 🤸♀️: Senior Sloane Blakely debuted a full-in pass on floor! This is a new E skill that Sloane has not competed yet in college. I hope it helps her to have an event stronger floor performance, it looks like last night was just the start!
NEW SKILLS 🤸♀️: Grad Student Ellie Lazzari took the opportunity to debut a new one handed back handspring to loso acro series on beam in place of her previous triple series. She had a little wobble last night but I'm sure the beam queen will rock this new series soon!
NEW SKILLS 🤸♀️:The new skills were not just for underclassmen! Senior Leanne Wong debuted a new beam dismount - a tucked gainer full off the end of the beam and she stuck it!
NEW SKILLS 🤸♀️: Sophomore Anya Pilgrim debuted a new Van Leeuwen on bars.
NEW SKILLS 🤸♀️: Several Gators competed new skills for the very first time last night! Freshman Ly Bui did her first 1.5Y on vault (I hear she's only been working on it for a couple of months).
NEW LINE UP SPOTS 1⃣: Anya Pilgrim is a seasoned competitor for the Gators in just her second season. She is known for being completely chill! Her chill nature helped her to become the Gators' new lead off on vault and beam last night.
NEW GATORS 🐊 : The highly anticipated Gator debut of Selena Harris-Miranda! Selena competed three events and seemed to work through some nerves to end her night with a stuck dismount. She started her Gator career anchoring two lineups. A lot of great things to come for Selena!
NEW GATORS🐊: Freshmen Ly Bui (VT), Skye Blakely (UB), and Taylor Clark (FX) all debuted in their first routines as Gators. Each showed an amazing starting point, but room for improvement.
The Gators showed off a lot of NEW last night: new Gators, new lineup spots, and new skills. Here is my thread for some of the NEW that we will look to see progress throughout the season.
