I mean. I’m sure they think we’re all like that, but I’ve met many more Adults on the left.

One thing I find darkly amusing is that conservatives like to paint themselves as the sober adults in the room willing to Make Hard Decisions. And yet they’re all the pettiest preschoolers ever.

And yes, Lovecraft was a huge racist and homophobe and worse. But! The whole idea of cosmic horror and humanity being tiny specks of nothing at the mercy of a cold, uncaring universe has resonated with me in a way few other literary ideas have.
