... When you wake up from a nap, and the cats are all over you or watching you.
WHAT DO THEY KNOW.
Otter pair on the River Lee, Cork City this morning. We have seen this pair a number of times and believe them to be mother and male cub. The vocal one being the cub. Can't show the full clip due to @bsky.app video size restrictions which is doing them no favours in building their user base. #cork

My god, they're just really lucky they didn't build that house over an old burial ground and quicksand. Because those were REAL RISKS in the 1980s. I managed to evade them myself.
The little cat and the middle cat
This otter is called Finbarr. He got his name from local wildlife photographer Chris Martin (@looselenscap on instagram). Finbarr is possibly Cork City's fattest otter which is remarkable given that he is missing both an upper and lower canine. River Lee, Cork City this morning(Sat 14th March) #cork
I'm a bit ridiculously obsessed with mustelids.
Oh, absolutely agreed.
I'm in Carrigaline and I *must* know where to find Finbarr. 😘 Haven't seen the otters here on the Owenbue, but then I'm never there at sunrise when they're most active.

✋ Former USG war crimes lawyer here.
Apropos of SecDef's remarks this morning:
Denial of quarter—even the declaration of no quarter—is a war crime.
And recognized as such by the US Government.
From DoD's Manual for Military Commissions.
Yes. I've found that the "who did you vote for" question here in Ireland always is coming from a concerned, progressive angle. It's always anti trump. And I love it.
And yeah, everything about this person implies she's a trump voter. Gross. Just wake up, woman, and realise what you've done. YEAH, Irish people are going to poke fun at you, especially when you act like a privileged American red hat fuckwit. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Maga Isn't welcome in Ireland. I've just moved to Ireland last year from Maryland, and everyone here whom I've taken with hates what DJT and his cronies are up to. I do often mention that it was NOT half the USA that voted for the guy... Just half the voters. Ugh. His demise is taking forever.
Plus ..I mean... There ARE permeable parking surfaces, if we really must have more parking. It's not difficult to use the honeycomb grid style to keep areas permeable and car friendly although that's really not the point.
In Blackpool we have car parks and roads draining surface water directly into the river. We now have a €20M+ flood scheme in the works. In Carrigaline we have a FF councillor suggesting that we turn green (water absorbent) spaces in car (non-permeable) spaces. #cork www.echolive.ie/corknews/ari...
Will I need to take a kayak on the Lee to see the otters? I'm so envious.
This hurt my brain... I ended up searching and then stopping when I got to a JSTOR article, "The Altering Eye: Contemporary International Cinema."
“They got money for wars, but can’t feed the poor”—Tupac
Oh.. is that.. not... Were we not doing.. that? Already, like?
My god, this book is perfect. funny, feminist, Irish, queer, so damned smart, did I say funny?

Two pencil sketches of noses
An acrylic painting of an apple with lots of texture due to an impasto process. The shadows still need some work.
I'm learning how to draw and paint. I haven't done any of this since secondary school in the 1980s. It's so soothing.
It's gorgeous. Be proud. The hair, the shadows, the different shading... Ah... I admire this!
How many views do your photos usually get?
I'd have to understand all the factors here before making any guesses.
But yeah, WTF. We humans are weird AF.
what???!!
I freaking love corvids now. They're everywhere in this area of Ireland. I get hooded crows and grackles in my garden, and it's uncanny how smart they seem... Like... They make eye contact and I have to look away quickly because... Clearly, they're downloading my soul.
Oh, hell no. What was I thinking? No. No no no.
