Flash charging is going to be standard in China by ~2027, with Europe and most other markets outside the U.S. soon after.
OEMs better get up to speed.

Biden was perceived as a relative moderate. He won (albeit amid Covid).
Clinton and Harris were *not* seen as moderates. Ofc., Clinton was not a good candidate. Harris had a tough road for obv reasons.
Despite Trump being very unpopular, voters still have a very negative view of Dems.
Hungary's opposition coalesced around Magyar, a conservative/populist and former Orban ally, because the parties decided that beating Orban trumped everything else.
There's a lesson there for Democrats.
Amid Iran war news, earnings season will ramp up. Taiwan Semiconductor and ASML are big AI chip names. Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley lead a slew of financials. J.B. Hunt, Alcoa, J&J and Fastenal. Most are in/near buy areas. 4/
Tech titans Google, Amazon and Nvidia moved into buy areas. Investors should have up-to-date watchlists. 3/
Stocks surged and oil prices plunged last week on the U.S.-Iran ceasefire. The market is in a confirmed uptrend with many stocks making bullish moves, many already extended. It was a time to add exposure gradually (not glacially). Let the market draw you in - or push you out. 2/
Futures, oil trading loom as President Trump announces plans for U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz after Iran talks end without a deal. A U.S. blockade could further limit ships transiting the strait, at least in the short term. 1/

Futures jump, crude oil prices dive as Trump, Iran agree on two-week cease-fire. Iran will open the Strait of Hormuz but apparently will still charge tolls (along with Oman). A lot of strong stocks are setting up.

Suffice to say, there's a wide range of market outcomes between an Iran deal on Monday or "hell" on Tuesday.
So while a rally attempt is underway, patience is key. But a follow-through day could happen soon, and many top stocks are showing strength. www.investors.com/market-trend...
Futures fall, oil prices jump on Trump's Iran speech. Markets have rallied on Iran deal hopes, so this was more hawkish than perhaps expected.
What does that mean for 19 stocks that made bullish moves Wednesday.
Tesla deliveries loom early Thursday.

Trump has expressed a wide range of opinions. On Monday morning, he threatened to attack Iran's civilian infrastructure if the Strait of Hormuz doesn't open. But he's also suggested the the strait's status isn't that important and a problem for others. 2/2
Trump has told aides he's willing to end the Iran war even if the Strait of Hormuz remains shut, the @WSJ reported, citing administration officials. Dow futures jumped, oil prices reversed lower on the report. 1/

Futures loom with focus on oil prices. Trump, Iran signal no war off-ramp.
Energy Sec'y Wright says "not too long" for Strait of Horumz tanker traffic to normalize.
With Gulf oil/LNG output falling, we're close to a point where supplies will be low for weeks.

What Trump said is notable because he's signaling that he doesn't feel pressure to end the Iran war. Iran made the same argument Sunday. Both might be bluffing, but there's no clear off-ramp to the fighting.
That's notable, incl. for financial markets.

FWIW - Bitcoin initially tumbled on the U.S.-Iran attacks but has reversed higher as Trump said Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has likely been killed, corroborating several reports citing Israeli or U.S. officials.
A Dow futures indicator, off >1% at one point, is now flat.
Well, you see, this is the war to end all wars.
Obviously, market reactions aren't the biggest news! I'll update some basic headlines on Iran, but there will be much better coverage at @wsj.com and elsewhere.
Don't forget about memory stocks. Sandisk is the S&P 500's top performer in 2026, but SNDK has been consolidating for a few weeks along with WDC, STX and MU. They don't have bases yet, though Western Digital has a 4-weeks tight. Micron earnings on March 18 could be key. 3/3
The major indexes closed below their 50-day lines on Friday, in part on U.S.-Iran concerns. There is strength underneath, with the equal-weight RSP and EQAL at highs and QQQE above its 50-day.
Berkshire earnings tumbled 30% in Warren Buffett's final quarter as CEO. 2/
The U.S. and Israel launch massive attacks on Iran. How will markets respond? Dow futures and oil trading will begin Sunday evening. 1/

Trump has already undermined right-of-center/right-wing parties in Europe/Canada with hostile rhetoric. If an explicit pro-Orban effort fails, that'll destroy the last pockets of support.
Discounted Disney World *and* six weeks of free room and board!
I wasn't making a value judgment. My point is that Trump's dollar policy - which has a LOT of downsides - by itself should be spurring a surge of foreign visitors.
But his policies and (often insanely belligerent) rhetoric toward allies completely undermine that.
Ironic, because Trump's sink-the-dollar policy makes Disney World a relative bargain for foreign visitors.
Futures: Trump Hikes New Global Tariff To 15%
How will markets respond? Stocks rallied Friday with Trump responding to the tariff ruling with a 10% duty.
Nvidia earnings key for AI stocks.

Earnings season still packs a punch. Robinhood, Astera Labs are big pre-market winners with Gilead also down. But Cloudflare, Vertiv, Lattice Semiconductor, Advanced Energy Industries are big winners. 2/2
Futures rise slightly with jobs report due after market pause with AI disruption fears now hitting Schwab, Raymond James and other wealth managers. The Dow Jones hit a new high Tuesday while the Nasdaq is hitting 50-day resistance. 1/2

Gosh, wonder if the Trump administration will settle with Trump. www.cnbc.com/2026/01/29/t...
The S&P 500 hit a new high and the Nasdaq is on the cusp of doing so while many leaders flashed bullish signals. But Meta, Microsoft, Tesla earnings loom Wednesday, along with the latest Fed meeting. Seagate, Nextpower, Texas Instruments were earnings winners late.
