I would very much like to use a reverse image search engine that doesn't run on AI, but that doesn't seem to be a thing anymore, so now I don't know what to do.

What’s a recent film I can watch at home without missing much from the theatrical experience? (Only looking for serious, grown up movies, not silly comedies or family films this time.)
Fraggle Rock was created with the intention to bring an end to war. Unfortunately, it seems that the world still has a lot to learn from Fraggle Rock.

@meryanroe.bsky.social here ya go
Screenshot of a post by Ryan Roe that says, “You should be here more often posting things that aren’t screenshots of disgusting opinions! Then my feed will be nicer!”
What a disgusting opinion.
***ANNOUNCEMENT***
Coming on May 26th on Blu-ray in the US from #ClassicFlix: #Fleischer Cartoons Greatest Hits Volume 1 (1923-1941)!
Beautifully restored in 4K, largely from original studio negatives, come 20 cartoons from legendary animation pioneer Max Fleischer.
This, sadly, is the majority of my BlueSky feed. Part of why I'm hardly ever on here.
Today I finished reading 'The Disney Revolt' by Jake S. Friedman. By gosh. If you only read one book on animation history, read this one. It's not just informative - the further in you get, the more it becomes a gripping thriller.
Thanks! I’m still hopeful that I’ll get to return to the project at some point.
It stinks that all the interesting stuff happened in the past. I need everyone and everything to stop being boring right now!
And on The Cube Day of all days. Oof.
This is truly one of the saddest things I’ve ever had to do. I love this project very much. Many thanks to all who contributed.
I got to chat with @jd11pc.bsky.social about Gertie the Dinosaur on this episode! Gertie is without a doubt one of the most influential short films of all time, animated or otherwise. It was such a pleasure to record this episode, please be sure to give it a listen!
@komakesthings.bsky.social and I got a whopping hour and 45 minutes out of discussing Winsor McCay and early animation.
The first episode of the new season of my podcast is out now!
Season 2 begins January 26th wherever podcasts are streamed!
Hi, I wrote this:
What a weird time to be a person.
what if you found out it was actually called Wallace and Grompit and you had been saying it wrong this entire time . would you still go to work or would you call out so you could take some time to process this information
And by framing Jud as a Rick Astley type, the film shows us that Jud is never gonna tell a lie or desert his flock.
Don’t go to film school or your brain turns into this.
Stick to Shorts, an incredible* podcast about Golden Age animated shorts, is gearing up to release its second season. Catch up on the first season if you enjoy thoughtful discussion and also silliness!
(*Full disclosure, I'm on it sometimes)
I don’t remember seeing ads with random actors AS the official Grinch before this year. It’s weird enough to see one of them, but McDonald’s *and* Walmart? With different costume designs? A multiverse of hideous live-action Grinches? I hate it.
Thanks!
Listen to Danny Horn and me crash this podcast into the ground and then build it back up again. It was so much fun!
Just Kermit and his nephew and his five best friends.
Source?
If you’re a Muppet fan, you’ll want to hear this one. By GOSH did we have fun.
Today I spent all afternoon struggling to finish reading a frustrating essay for Stick to Shorts and then spent all evening stewing over it. So much for the rest of the script.
Today I learned that Cookie Niece exists. I like Cookie Niece.
