I'm excited to finally release the first public version of WavePhoenix, my open-source implementation of a Nintendo WaveBird receiver - github.com/loopj/waveph...
It's funny looking back at the Mario Movie and when people acted like it was a betrayal of video games.
Shouldn't games exist in another realm that can't be expressed through film? Isn't that why the medium exists? I would say the same of movies <-> books.
Licensed movie pinball though, excellent.
I've got to give it to the @umbraco.umbracocommunity.social.ap.brid.gy team/community. I hated it with a passion back in ~2016. It's really come a long way, and fits in very well in our component-based frontend development world.

Sure, VIM is a great choice for you. I'd rather have a steering wheel on my car.
I don't hate on VIM for the most part, but when you try to justify that its navigation is superior let me direct you to these babies
I just took a gamble and bought a Pixel Fold. I weep knowing that Windows Phone is dead.
1+2 was _fine_, but the didn't quite hit like the originals. Luckily we've got partymod

Just finished this chapter... pretty eye opening. Coincidentally I've also jumped back into the Battlefield 1942 mod Desert Combat made by Trauma Studios. I was totally unaware of that lineage. Been enjoying Press Reset so far, thanks!
PowerShell is pretty damn good as well.
With period rigs no less. Is that a boxed Sim Town I see peeking?
While PSN is down, why not check out my project LANCommander:
github.com/LANCommander...
Bring back the LAN or take control of your PC library with your own private cloud!
I get that. The post I was replying to was talking about features in 11 updates that require a hardware feature.
Windows Vista won't run on a 486, is that forced obsolescence?
I made a MAME cabinet in 2010 and I needed a way to connect the buttons to a PC. I ended up finding a driver that allows you to connect a SNES controller to the parallel port. It still works today!
Very excited! Also I watched Walter Mitty for the first time this year and was so engrossed with it's visuals. Now it's on my top 10.
Going somewhat differently that others here: find a game that is easy to repair. System 11 games like Police Force or High Speed are fun games that have parts that are readily available and they don't have a bunch of mechanisms that are hard to repair.
Went to the doctor today. Told them I felt worn down, tired, and constantly stressed.
Doctor said: "I’ve got an easy fix. Check out this new game called Balatro. It’s a roguelike deckbuilder and the talk of the town. That’ll pick you up."
But doctor…
I actually called the Windows XP activation hotline this past weekend. It took like 10 minutes to go through the whole process, but it still works!
It can be fine if you don't have to scale or project to fairly shallow DTOs. With a larger set of models and a lot of relationships, it just doesn't scale well. That being said, I maintain an old EF6/MVC5 project that's fairly massive and having to eager load is a huge pain.
