"unlimited cheap beef" is unreasonable, unsustainable, and frankly evil but also i think one of the unspoken core tenets of 20th century american prosperity
Screenshot of an open style lab Instagram post announcing an AI research residency. I commented asking who is finding this? Potential applicants deserve to know.
Announcement from open style lab about a residency that uses AI to examine current AI systems, standards, and its potential with inclusive design
I’m quite intrigued by this Open Style Lab AI + disability fashion research residency. I keep commenting on posts promoting it, asking who is funding it - but so far no response. Anyone know anything about where this money is coming from?
In 2003, US citizen Rachel Corrie was killed by Israeli soldiers using a US-provided bulldozer.
Her parents are calling on senators to vote yes today to block $295 million worth of these bulldozers to Israel. Join them by calling your senators TODAY:
just incredible that while the last shipments out of the strait are finally rolling in and there’s nothing coming behind them, the entire executive branch are obsessed with winning online flame wars with the pope
Screenshot of an article headlined, “These Tenants Are Going on Strike Against ‘Rent Debt,’” with the subhead, “A new kind of tenants union is ramping up the pressure on corporate landlords.” The article is by Rebecca Burns and dated October 2, 2025. Below the headline is a large photo of about a dozen former tenants standing together in a sunny park with their fists raised. A small tan dog stands at the front of the group. A caption below the image says they are former tenants of Equity Residential refusing to pay rent debt they say stems from predatory practices.
Where an eviction record already puts tenants at risk of homelessness, piling debt on top of that “is really harming tenants’ credit scores, further complicating any possibility of rehousing."

This is the most brilliant video on looksmaxxing and I can't stop thinking about it.

One of the most corrupt and evil industries in Ohio has hit a new low.
Yeah, Mackenzie Scott is a fascinating case. She is literally ignoring the SOPs of philanthropy in order to give away wealth as quickly and efficiently as possible and she’s still getting richer. At her level it is impossible not to make money. Tax billionaires, A LOT.
This is not just a great article about the decline of the compact, economic car market. It’s an article about how wealth and political power have reinforced each other so much that the American dream—physical and economic freedom—has become inaccessible for millions.

No one likes unnecessary scaffolding. Thankfully, we have a plan — and John Wilson is here to help break it down.
Very unimpressed by pop neurodiversity influencers and their AI apologia.
More bullshit claiming that anti-AI stances are classist and ableist and racist.
Meanwhile, AI is built on exploited black labor, kills disabled people every day, disposesses the working class, and drinks all our water.
Tori Amos and Neil Gaiman were best friends, and he’s mentioned by name in many of her songs. Tori was blindsided and devastated after allegations of Neil being a sexual predator came out. They’re no longer friends and she took him out of her song “Horses” last night: www.tiktok.com/@mrzebra1980...
I recently tried to buy a product from a company that clearly uses a lot of AI. The experience included them not sending my order, randomly sending extra orders, and then falsely trying to lock me into a subscription I didn't request. It was a disaster.
Take a look at the CNN sourcing and fact-checking on their Swalwell article. Look at how many extra people they contacted in order to corroborate claims. They viewed screenshots, called parents/husbands/friends/colleagues. They viewed TV footage and interviews, & more. Two things worth pointing out:
you genuinely love to see it.
So, the ABA industry got worse on this, not better:
"Ninety-three percent of statements claiming no [potential bias] were false. Conflicts of interest are increasingly pervasive in ABA autism intervention research, and the vast majority remain undisclosed"

The thing is, we have a fairly recent example of what mental illness and cognitive decline looks like in a leader who was, you know, otherwise relatively normal for a leader.
George III. Who, in his illness, was still not the kind of person who threatened to obliterate an entire other people.

Opinion: It is time for Mamdani to stand in solidarity with Muslim leaders who eschew antisemitic tropes, such as “genocide” and “occupation,” and are committed to a new and broader regional alignment in the Middle East.
