Sanofi will be making Novavax available in Canada this fall — but it’s up to the provinces or territories to order this vaccine. Send an email to your health minister and your local representative to tell them why Novavax access is essential for many people: covidsociety.ca/news/nuvaxov...

Lol... let's check in in 6 months to see if Doug the grifter has really sold the private jet that he used taxpayer's money to purchase.
How about focusing on emergency rooms and doctor shortages Dougie rather than a quick trip to your cottage?

I have a new @thestar.com opinion piece out today all about my deeply-held desire to join Doug Ford's war against Ontario! It's an Easter Monday miracle!

Funny how they just cant afford to oay rhe actual workers only CEOs
Adding fuel to the fire for the union is Metro's strong financial performance, with revenues exceeding $22 billion according to the company's 2025 annual report.

Terribly understaffed primary care in Ontario, but maybe we'll get a tunnel under the 401!
Minister Jones: "Any changes to billing codes would have to be worked out and agreed upon in partnership with the Ontario Medical Association," she said. "So we have no plans at this point to make changes there."
Why? Doctors rule, I guess.
Another incompetent move from one of Dougie's ding-dongs.
Even Alberta has allowed #nurse practitioners to independently bill the provincial government. But not #Ontario. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
Yeah, us Canadians burn our forests just to hassle Minnesotans. And they say we are so friendly!
Don't give up! Please hassle your Minister of Health and insist on Novavax this year. Sanofi has said that it intends to market it in Canada this fall, but it's up to the provinces to buy it.
Then again, you might have already been at your politicians!
NEW: Changes to booze laws, road regulations and last-minute, last-ditch attempts to ban an annual protest hours before it was due to start.
Critics say a hailstorm of announcements from Queen's Park is to distract from a transparency crackdown. #Onpoli

Looks good! Thanks, I'll give it a try.
Recipe please!
Will the Ontario NDP and Liberals ever work together strategically or are we forever ever doomed to Doug the Doofus' corruption and incompetence?
For what it's worth, I can guarantee that Novavax was available at a CVS in Michigan yesterday.
that considers availability of supply per manufacturers and any evolution of evidence and expert recommendations. Details on the products that will be available in fall 2026-27 will be available closer to the fall."
Let's hope Sanofi is working hard to make sure #Novavax is available to Canadians.
"The vaccine products that will be used for the 2026/2027 COVID-19 vaccine in Ontario are under review. Availability will be dependant on the products that are approved by Health Canada and the contracting processes through the national vaccine bulk procurement program . . .
Received response from Ontario Ministry of Health re: availability of #Novavax later this year. After a few paragraphs extolling the safe and effective mRNA vaccines (they are, just not for everyone) came the bottom line:
What's still missing:
1) Adoption & training
2) Routine CO₂/ventilation checks
3) LAYERED DEFENCE promoting source control, ventilation upgrades, filtration & HEPA air cleaners to reduce risk for respiratory pathogens
We know what's needed. We're just not doing it.

#4?! Really? No breakdown of the metrics are given in the article, so it's hard to know what this means. But we sure have room for improvement, especially when it comes to wait times and equity.
What we should have said in the first place. That first press release from the PM was a complete comms failure. #cdnpoli
📢 Novavax / Nuvaxovid availability update Novavax has confirmed that the JN.1 product will continue to be available through May 31st. (h/t @MASKattheOpera for this letter - sent by Novavax to the co-owner / pharmacist at Eddie’s Pharmacy in L.A.) In addition to various independent pharmacies, many CVS locations are choosing to restock again, which has also been the case for the last couple of months. If you’re trying to locate a dose, all of the advice below from early January still applies⬇️ If you’re upset that your preferred pharmacy isn’t continuing to stock Nuvaxovid…now is the time to let them know (both at the local store and by calling corporate offices), because this time of year is when the bulk of contracting will be happening between @SanofiUS and pharmacies for the upcoming 2026-2027 respiratory season.

Doug Ford says there's not enough money to keep funding Ontario healthcare.
He should make a TV ad about that.
This is significant.
Canada is the only non-European country to sign on to a program that allows access for low-interest loans for the joint procurement of military gear and weapons. It gives Canadian companies access to bid on European projects.

Time for Canada to fully cover mental health care under the Canada health act.
I am 100% sure Conservatives will support this as it’s never about the guns, it’s always mental health according to them.

“I am shocked and appalled." Taking funds from "promising research in order to do a preclinical study based on nonscientific ideas. It’s absurd.”
Only in Montreal!
On my mother's side: rural poverty in Italy at the turn of the 20th century. For my paternal grandmother, who immigrated from the Windsor, Ontario, to Detroit, there was work in Detroit and there really wasn't much of a border then. How times change.
