The Sony HDW-F900 was made in 2000, and was one of the first digital cinema cameras to see widespread use.
It was used by George Lucas for "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones", "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith", and was used in other productions including The Office, Doctor Who (2005) and Dexter.

Here's a video of the front of the lens with the zoom crashing in and out. It's quick!

I can't currently set the white balance because I need to work on a solution to the viewfinder feed into something other than the stock viewfinder. I can't use the component outs since I'm recording off those.

I'm well aware that they were six or seven figure machines new, it's just that they were imminently getting scrapped and so far it's only costed us a liftgate truck rental to save them

we have a few leads on rehoming these and I'll work on following up on them to get these to a good home!

these seem to be, from our inspections, upgraded with the 4K upgrade

a big set of Spirit 2K film scanners. they look cool as fuck. they're beautiful brushed stainless steel on the sides and a big glass view door to watch the film transport mechanims they're in a garage
