Pennington Court residents were all smiles thanks to a lovely morning visit from the adorable Poppy the Maltipoo. 😄 🐶

Last week at The Cedars, we said a fond farewell to Julie, who is retiring after 27 years at The Cedars. In her time at the location, Julie moved from the domestic team into care work, eventually becoming a senior carer, before she later returned to the domestic team. Thank you for everything. 🫶

A good time was had by all this past weekend at Southlands, as residents enjoyed an Easter quiz and raffle to raise money for @cancerresearchuk.org, and everyone got in the spirit. 🐰

Thank you to Olive's daughter Emma for giving her time to organise what was a brilliant event. ❤️

For Easter, residents at Pennington Court got in the spirit of the long weekend by making some brilliantly creative and colourful decorations, while Rita and Paul got to baking a batch of lovely Easter buns. 😋🧁

Thank you to Thelma for paying us another visit at Pennington Court last week along with our dog pals Oasis and Graham. It was a special day, which saw £144.50 raised for Guide Dogs UK and residents adopting plenty of teddy Labradors and German shepherds. 🦮🐕‍🦺

For Poetry Day this year, residents at The Cedars crafted their own poems, a couple of which were beautifully read out by the authors themselves: Pat, who wrote about the simply joys brought by the summer sun, and Beryl, who wrote about domestic life on a farm for a mother and her family. ✒️☀️

A well-deserved eggstra special treat for Westward Care staff for Easter: some delicious cupcakes, along with a message of gratitude from Peter, Gail and Sharon of the management team. 🧁💚
