I honestly might take this down because I hate being publicly critical about art I don't love, but I'M SO CURIOUS to hear other takes on this one.

I think it's gotten excellent reviews, so other folks likely do not share my beefs, and I may be more critical than the average bear.
I'll be curious to hear your thoughts! I was.... Nonplussed.
Anyway, I'm dying to hear other PDX peeps thoughts, because it's possible my take is way off base.
I plowed through it because Portland subduction zone story! But I found it bafflingly un-portland to a degree that I started to assume the author didn't live here, but I guess she does?
Crap, as if this subject isn't already fraught and emotionally raw. What the hell is wrong with people.
Thank you so much for joining us! The kids were so delighted! ❤️🚲📚
We were so excited. We actually managed to wheedle four authors to join bike buses here in town! Aron Nels Steinke, Breena Bard, Michelle Sumovich, and Rosanne Parry has one coming up in NoPo! Feeling pretty giddy. 😍
OMG, #goals. The incredible #OregonBookAwardsfinalist @mrwolfcomics.bsky.social joined our #bikebus last Friday! The kids were thrilled. Book orders provided by Green Bean Books PDX and Donuts provided by @bikeloudpdx.bsky.social . WHAT A RIDE. Bikes and Books. Classic #Portland . 🚲💚
And even there, "farmers" is doing a lot of work. Where I live, because of weird water rights, a lot of hobby farms get too much water - if they don't use it, they lose it. Then there's tons of waste, like this pipe they only pulled up in 2019.
I might switch. I had a group of literal children try to steal my purse in the parking lot at the one on 82nd.
That area of 82nd and Powell is so cursed. Unfortunately my Winco is there.
Yes, no slight to you to posting it! It's important to hold these monsters to account. Just awful to take in.
Oh holy shit had to bail on reading that article. 😭

I also got to try out this mini penny farthing! I guess this is a model suitable for an uphill slog. 😂
You wanna see something funny? #cycleoregon
Day of the week panties, but it's just one pair with SMTWTFS
*One weird trick* I guess.
Paying for my extravagant European vacation by selling my heavily besmirched NYT undies online after the fact.
Oh my gosh, @trimet.org is updating the HOP card app, and we'll soon be able to have more than one card on a phone! THANK YOU TRIMET!
I have never been! Curious to hear how it is. I hope your niece is fully recovered!
The pacific Northwest be like:
Yeah, the sparkles preceded the malaise. I guess if it happens again I'll go for acetaminophen right away.
Update on this- I don't think I got a full-blown migraine, but I felt shitty afterwards. Dizzy, vaguely barfy, and a little headachey. Basically low grade like I just rode a tilt-a whirl as an adult. I hope this is not a recurring delight.
Howwwwwww is this the law.
(Maybe we need to scrap the I5 bridge until we figure out what's going on.)
I also came to say this- Pips is made fresh to order! And their Chai is amazing!
TIL that my dad has had them since he was in his 20s! So I think this is likely hereditary, and yes, hormones, since I'm deeply ensconced in peri menopause. 😂
I just had my first ever scintillating scotoma. That was fucking terrifying.
I got myself re-employed only through connections and networking, which is unfortunately for us introverts still how the world works.
Every application these days is like 10 high-stakes essay questions. Then multiple waves of "did you meet the minimum quals?" Then multiple interviews. It is exhausting.
