Are you using your own internal assessments (I know you have spoken about these before!) to identify those you think are 7+, or other methods as well? It’s something we struggle with in y9!

Edexcel similar. I find it hugely frustrating. Especially when there are points where poor work or calculator use is randomly rewarded generously.

I think it’s the ramping up for the Grade C that feels tough at the moment - you have to be a lot better at a lot more content than only a few years ago.

I still can’t believe this is genuine. The number of failures to get to this point is astonishing.

In reality, once students passed foundation they would be pulled into other subjects and not given the opportunity to sit higher. Removing that made a huge difference.
