I always loved War of the Monsters! I grew up on kaiju and Godzilla, and this game had me hooked. I don’t know how the gameplay holds up, but my mind’s eye remembers it fondly.

I do not disagree with what you are saying, Mark. But on a similar note, I also am having difficulty deciphering if this is all in good fun, or if there may be some animosity?

Is it somewhat aimed at solo players? Also, I know it’s not Destiny (by a long shot), but is there a story/lore to soak up?

I thought something similar. Something about being a dad that makes us extra protective of young video game sidekicks. My daughter is 20 now, but was much younger when The Last of Us released. That beginning 15 minutes crushed me as a father.

The Switch 2 is awesome! When everyone else is worried about resolution, DLSS, PSSR, etc., Nintendo pumps out phenomenal games you can’t find anywhere else.

I have been finding so many inspirational at times, and relevant, dialogue in comic books. Some are from years ago, some current. But I can’t help but think these writers are on the right side of history.

My wife and I watched @nintendousa.bsky.social #SuperMarioGalaxy movie today. We both loved it, and as a Nintendo gamer and fan for forty years, the music and nods to Mario past were abundant and emotional at times.

The 70s were absolutely wild in Hollywood when it came to crazy stunts related to animals. In 1973, The Fonz literally jumped the shark on Happy Days. In 1977, Roger Moore, as James Bond, escaped certain death by using live alligators as a bridge to safety.

I guess I’m old (45), because these extraction shooters should interest me, but don’t. I’d rather have a single-player story-driven game any day. I would also like a game to be less than 40 hours. I know that’s unpopular, but I don’t have the time.

I don’t get super excited anymore for many games, but this and Wolverine have me finally using the PSN Wishlist!
