I could make some pretty pointed criticism of individuals at CCRC but will restrain myself.
As in other instances, fish rot from the head down.
Of course. It’s a quick test to do, and where original evidence has been preserved properly new techniques can get results from minuscule samples.
My main beef is the CCRC who act as gatekeepers to appeals, and who have made ridiculous mistakes in the past.
Any objective analysis of the facts in this case, given the long-established availability of DNA testing, will show that the appeal process, in particular the gate-keeping effect of the CCRC, is not fit for purpose and should be changed as a matter of urgency.
