This! Been thinking about this for some time…so proud of the work we did in MA to pass the Fair Share amendment—and it’s not enough to stem growing wealth inequality. Global wealth inequality is a condition of growing authoritarianism as well. We need global solutions, too.
What an honor and surprise to be featured along with so many incredible female labor leaders! Thank you @aflcio.org and @rweingarten.bsky.social for the #WomensHistoryMonth shout out! Proud to be part of the labor movement and in good company while representing a majority female union!#solidarity
The SAVE America Act is a voter suppression scam. It would take away the rights of working people to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
The Senate must reject this bill.
Happy International Women’s Day! Grateful to work with incredible women every single day of the year. ✊❤️
“All are welcome and safe here.” That’s not just a slogan; it’s a promise we make to our students every day.
This week we took that promise to the streets.
Thank you to everyone who rallied, marched and spoke up for dignity and respect for every child. We see you.
Looking forward to @progressivemass.bsky.social's virtual awards night next month!

Starting off Read Across America Week right at the Greenhalge!
President @jessjtang.bsky.social, Secretary-Treasurer Duncan, and AFT MA staff joined United Teachers of Lowell’s own Mickie Dumont today in Lowell to read some of our favorite books to classes across Greenhalge Elementary School.
A U.S. official said American military strikes on Iran were underway.
Remember when Congress authorized the use of force against Iran?
Me neither.
Any U.S. attack on Iran would violate U.S. and international law.
Regime Change? Iran is a repressive theocracy. But really? Didn’t we learn that Americans don’t want forever wars.
And nuclear arsenal? Didn’t Obama have an agreement that stopped Iran that Trump cancelled? www.nytimes.com/live/2026/02...
Due process is a bedrock of union values—when our due process rights are violated by an employer, we always fight back.
President @jessjtang.bsky.social spoke to unions’ role in fighting back against federal overreach at BC Law. (pc: Reba Saldhana) (1/3)

We can’t ignore the cruelty and malicious abuse of power. We have to stop it.
Always remember to document what you said:
“Am I free to go?”
“I wish to remain silent.”
“I do not consent to a search.”
“Am I under arrest?”
“I want to speak to a lawyer.”
…even if they aren’t respecting your rights, it matters.
Everyone has rights in the United States—no matter your immigration status. You can share these short videos (in multiple languages) to help others know what their rights are:

96 orders. 1 month. 1 state.
“That’s what Chief Judge Patrick J. Schiltz of the US District Court in Minnesota –– a Republican appointee –– placed on the public record: an appendix identifying 96 court orders violated by ICE across 74 cases since January 1” with a warning it’s likely an undercount.
Which group is next? An injustice to one is an injustice to all.
BREAKING: The two federal immigration agents who fired on Minneapolis protester Alex Pretti are identified in government records as Border Patrol agent Jesus Ochoa and Customs and Border Protection officer Raymundo Gutierrez.
A lot of talk about general strikes…but what we know is it takes skills, organizing and structures to get prepared. Check out upcoming trainings from the Freedom Trainers and this great piece from Daniel Hunter!

ICE surges are increasing across US cities, including Massachusetts. @aftmass.bsky.social President @jessjtang.bsky.social shares what educators are seeing on the ground—and why preparation matters👉🏽 www.youtube.com/shorts/8xpRk... @aft.org @rweingarten.bsky.social
This administration tells blatant lies and tells you not to believe what you see, and it’s disgusting. Rest in Power Alex Pretti, you are the best of us and we know the truth.
AOC: "An ICE officer had violently pushed a woman to the ground and he had come over to help get her up and that is what precipitated this incident that very quickly led to an execution in the streets. What we are seeing here is a momentous pivotal moment for the United States."
