Es tut mir leid, dass das für dich ein Problem war. Theoretisch ist die Lösung, dass es in medizinisch begründeten Fällen Ausnahmen gibt. Eine Disability Aktivistin in den USA die keine Maske tragen kann spricht sich z.B. für Maskenpflicht aus weil sie nur so geschützt ist wenn andere Maske tragen.

Menschen mit Long Covid tauchen in Erhebungen zu Arbeitsausfällen in Deutschland bisher kaum auf. Weil es so wenige sind? So einfach ist es nicht.
Wünsche allen mit Krankheitssymptomen die Einsicht sich heute zurückzunehmen und zu Hause zu bleiben, allen ohne Krankheitssymptome das Verständnis sich präventiv auf Covid zu testen und insb. chronisch Kranken und Behinderten dementsprechend solidarische Familien und Freund*innen 🎄

Die gesellschaftliche Corona Verseuchung steigert sich seit Wochen, keiner kann es mehr leugnen. Selbst die Medien gestehen es. In meinem Umfeld erkrankt jede Woche mind. 1 Person an COVID.
Und trotzdem war ich heute Abend die einzige Person im Supermarkt mit Maske.

Reminder: Encouraging people to get vaccinated does not mean discouraging people to wear a mask. And vice versa. As always with public health, the best way to protect our communities is with *layers* of protection.
So many folks are sick again so I share this with love: you must rest. Rest won’t guarantee you don’t get long covid but it’s a huge mitigator. Even if you have an accute mild case. Even if you don’t feel it at all. Send this to your boss. Make your partner clean or use disposable dishes etc.
Oh and surely Germany‘s 2023 completely logical approach to actively discourage & prevent most of the population from getting updated COVID boosters has nothing to do with anything.
German media: yes, there are many respiratory infections going around, but it’s totally normal & COVID rates are low, so no worries.
Reality: My mother has COVID, my neighbors have COVID, my coworkers are getting COVID one by one.
First COVID winter without widespread masking & testing going 👌
