I learned recently that it’s an insult in Germany to call someone “hobbyless” or to engage in “hobbyless behavior” and it’s become my favorite way to think of assholes who have nothing better to do than to make other people miserable. Get a hobby. Build a model train and calm down.
It is not the first book by @tkingfisher.com translated into German but the first one from our friends at @argyllbooks.bsky.social (we know of). Congrats!🎉
Just look at all these furry books!
Each one represents hundreds of hours of work, from authors, editors, beta readers, artists — all furries, just like you.
Some titles are a quarter-century old, when furry paperbacks could be counted on one paw; many are from brand new voices.
Just amazing 💜
a very cute and good puppy dragon barking
See? I can be a good boy!
And good boys deserve belly rubs~
We always deserve treats. It‘s the law. 😄
Infograph about censorship. It compares it to magnets.
Sorted my thoughts about censorship, so I can stop thinking about it.
I don't generally revise after I finish the novel (I edit as I go) so this isn't really a problem. When I get the copy edit I'll save a version of that file with my responses, but that's pretty much it.
I‘ll tell you a secret that twitch isn’t allowed to hear 🌚
I went to a restaurant today. Knowing their order system I told my details exactly the way the system asks for it.
Waiter: “You're a little too fast. But you're doing such a great job. You're a very good boy.”
Without giving it a second thought, I said:
"Thank you, woof."🐶
I woofed at him. Oh no.
I've been a furry for over 25 years. I don't have a full suit, didn't have a partial until 2 years ago.
Do not be reduced to the things which you possess. That's capitalist horseshit.
Dixie is really nice! Another game that I really enjoy is Mysterium. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mysteri...
i've never seen a word that sounds in my head like speaking with a mouth full of orbeez quite as much as this

I started journaling this year (again) and it does wonders to my mental health. Also got back into crocheting ^_^
I really love this style. I’ll definitely leave for a follow for a future book cover :]

The gryphon rider landed only a few minutes ago for a very important meeting, leaving their mount in the courtyard to be "tended to".
Tended to how? Well, the mount might have an idea.
If someone is posting stuff you personally don't like or find uncomfortable, just block them and move on.
I do recommend everyone properly tag their stuff to make it easier to avoid, though. I made a whole separate account and still tag stuff so people who aren't into my spicier stuff can avoid it.
Defining someone's morality and character solely on the smut and kink they enjoy despite never harming anyone is legitimately fascist behavior. It doesn't make anyone safer. It just normalizes the policing of sexuality and, in turn, the policing of queer media.
Were real animals or people harmed in the creation of the porn they view? Is there substantial evidence they plan to enact a dangerous kink on someone else?
If the answer to both of those is 'no,' I do not care what someone else is into, and neither should you.
Going after queer people online for having benign kinks that hurt nobody is especially frustratingly dumb when the world is being ran by pedophilic, rapist sex traffickers who probably won't face real consequences
Like, the trans woman with the fictional incest kink is not your enemy.
Xkcd cartoon explaining that making fun of people for not knowing stuff is training them to not share their joy of discovery with you - so everyone loses.
The last week has been an absolute joy, watching so many folk get incredibly lit up by SCIENCE! 🎉🎉🎉
Yet, inevitably, some people asking well-meant & genuinely curious questions had "LOL u r SO DUMB" comments flung at them.
This is snobbish and self-defeating!
Here's a cartoon explaining why.
