“Spindly fingers tickle his neck, reminding him of skittering cockroaches. The massive presence latches on his back, flapping a cold draft with its wings.”

3rd novel done, pending a final light editing pass and I love it so much 💙👄💙
“Writing is an outlet for me, and I have both envisioned nature taking revenge, or characters larger-than-life protecting what I feel powerless to protect in the real world, and both shades are ecofiction.”

If publishing weird, unsettling, horrific pieces of ecofiction is wrong, then I don’t want to be right

I have a new one out ✨
"'Down here, you.'
Feminine voice. Seductive rasp. The manchild kneels over the hole, carefully avoiding the blackened earth. An insect skitters the hole’s rim—beetle body, but a drooping antenna carries a bulb reminding him of angler fish."

what if the rift conjured in the lab unleashed alien microbes that once disturbed will skitter up the arm and worm inside your ear to procreate?
Listen—closely, if you dare—to @linardos.bsky.social's new poem "It Could Worm Inside Your Ear."

Maybe I do need two careers. Nothing gets me as productive in one than using it as escape to procrastinate the other.
Writing long form has broke the seal on me and I can't keep the stories contained these mf characters won't shut up
New poetry by @writerjencrow.bsky.social, @marisca.bsky.social, Michelle Koubek, @linardos.bsky.social, @danielausema.bsky.social, @the-lettersea.com, and Gretchen Tessmer!
As another year draws to a close remember that your career is only one part of life, kindness matters, and the rock that sits atop the mountain is no more important than the ones which form the base.
Let the dumpster fire that was 2025 propel you into 2026 and enjoy another chapter of the ride.
Was almost hoping one would be so bold to send a Christmas R
Aww thanks man
The year wrapped up nicely last week. Finished my edits on my latest novel and sent it to the editor, got a biomedical AI paper published in MELBA journal, and my paper on incorporating consent in AI systems "Consentful-by-Design" was accepted at AI & Society journal, my proudest paper to date 🙌
