Try to keep up. Carney's cut is a $2.4 billion public subsidy to fossil fuels, one that companies are already raising prices to absorb. We need real action to bring down the cost of living, starting with a serious tax on the billions of excess profits Canadian companies are making from the Iran war.
Oil companies are on track to make tens of billions in windfall profits from Trump’s illegal war in Iran.
It’s their profiteering that’s driving up prices. It’s them who should pay.
