1/ Uit mijn herkomstonderzoek blijkt dat je aan de objecten uit Indonesië de kennisuitwisseling tussen de lokale veeartsen of behandelaars en de Nederlandse veeartsen kan zien.

1/ Al vanaf 1830 werden veeartsen uitgezonden naar het toenmalige Nederlands-Indië. Eerst werkten ze als paardenarts in het leger. Later bestreden ze ook besmettelijke veeziektes en deden ze onderzoek. In 1907 bestond daarvoor het Veeartsenijkundig Instituut op Java.
