Falling for anti-migrant racism doesn't protect workers, it entrenches capitalism by making workers more vulnerable & exploitable! Our enemy arrives in limousine, not someone on a boat fleeing colonial devastation.

Being pro-migrant is central to our collective fight against fascism!

If Canadians really want to support trans folks in the U.S., they have to fight like hell against the same anti-trans rhetoric and policies here at home. We literally have provinces passing anti-trans legislation. Canada is not safe.

Ramping up mining and gas extraction - who pays the biggest price when imperialist colonial powers squabble? Indigenous folks, the lands and waters - and ultimately, you too.

Expect more public drug use after closing of supervised consumption site, officials warn After a supervised consumption site in Ottawa's Centretown closed, officials said public drug use is expected to increase.

While I am excited for the good work that the future HART hub at Somerset West Community Health Centre will do, the fact that the Ford govt forced them to close their supervised consumption site and needle exchange is already leading to more public drug use. ottawacitizen.com/news/more-pu...

“When we look at the history of mass atrocities against particular groups, we always see a period where the information landscape is shaped away from recognizing the humanity of the targeted group." www.404media.co/meta-is-layi...

And here is where, again, we need to stop talking about "the public sphere" as if it ever existed. There were always multiple publics - some w/ more power & access to mainstream spaces like media where political deliberation happens - there are dominant publics, counterpublics, and more.
