Me: "Huh, why has my lower back been super sore for days?"
Also me: "Oh, I forgot to share that pic I took when we were packing out of our Retro Roadshow event in Alameda last weekend!"

Sega Genesis & 32X playing "General Chaos" on an RGB-modded Sony KV13M. Pretty nice way to pass the time on a lazy Sunday!
This game is an awesome mix of realtime strategy and cartoonish humor, but it rarely seems to get mentioned anymore. Definitely check it out if you can!
I hope you all have / find someone who looks at you like Kirk looks at the Enterprise 😍
Hey @actionretro.bsky.social - I'm having no luck accessing FrogFind at the moment. Is the issue on my end or is the frog on vacation this weekend?
We have one of these as well! Found it on the sidewalk in San Francisco 10+ years ago, still in its original bag. Ours works but looks like it had a pretty rough life - several of the 'fins' connecting the display to the CPU are broken...
Thanks to @willsmith.fun and @retroroadshow.org for a really cool look at the BeBox and BeOS, and a bit of a history lesson. www.pcworld.com/article/3057...
I had a chance to spend some time a super-rare BeBox thanks to the folks from the @retroroadshow.org. The BeBox represents a road not travelled for the Mac, this was the other company Apple could have bought, if they hadn’t bought NeXT and brought Steve Jobs back into the company.
Just watched this PC World video with Huxley from @retroroadshow.org showing the BeBox in action.
I need to take my BeBox out soon. This shows the original dual 67MHz PPC model. I have the later dual 133Mhz model. Nice work Huxley!

Thanks for the kind feedback! We shot this video along with one about the TI99/4A back in August, and I’d just gotten home from a hectic work trip and didn’t have much time to prep for this. Hope I sound halfway coherent here 😂
Can't stop, and apparently won't stop?
I've been combining my love of Original Series Star Trek with my complete lack of taste, common sense, and Pixelmator skills. Enjoy?

It's very much a work in progress, but we're delighted to announce that we'll be exhibiting our new #Apple Lisa 2/10 at several Retro Roadshow events!
It's almost impossible to get hands-on with these rare machines, and we really can't wait to share with you all soon
My fun project for the evening: repairing this trash-rescued KEC TV, and doing a total overhaul on this formerly-busted Nintendo GameCube. They look fantastic together!

User Interface Design peaked with the MacAddict Magazine CD-ROM interface in 1996. Everything prior was just building up to this, and everything afterwards was a mistake.
BRING BACK THE “3D PYRAMIDS + HOVERING GLOBES WITH ORBITING PARTICLES” AESTHETIC YOU COWARDS
With the Apple Creator Studio announcement, this old post is even more relevant. Keynote is the overlooked jewel of Apple’s macOS apps - literally the best piece of software they’ve shipped in 25 years. Happy to see Keynote sharing the spotlight and getting some well-deserved love!

Yesterday was a BIG DAY for us: @marketplace.org aired a lovely segment about our Retro Roadshow! It feels incredible to be getting exposure and recognition like this. 2025 has been amazing, and we're making big plans for 2026 - we hope to see you all in person!

I was taught that a Chekhov's Gun is something that's mentioned at the start of a story to foreshadow something happening later on.
But in 'Santa Baby', they mention a Chekov My Christmas List, and then it doesn't get mentioned again? Is Eartha Kitt just bad at storytelling?
This was so much fun to do! We hope you all enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed filming with Will and the PCWorld crew 🤩❤️
Very cool! Reminds me of some of the classic screen savers I've played with over the years...
Thanks to Mtn. View Public Library, The Friends of Mtn. View Library & their devoted community for a successful "Console Chaos!" event! The positive feedback we received was truly humbling. Spread the word about the Retro Roadshow!

Actually, scratch that - I think it's just my laptop being weird, the site is loading fine on my iPhone right now. Sorry for a false alarm!
Hey! Looks like the site is offline again... I'm only getting "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later." when I try to access the homepage.
Go home, Goodwill - you’re drunk 🤷♂️🤦♂️
That was actually my plan, but Delicious Library died because Amazon cut off the API access it needed to populate the info in each entry. The app itself runs but it's been crippled ☹️
20 years ago I was a huge fan and advocate for the gorgeous Mac app called Delicious Library. Sadly that app is dead now, and I'm baffled - what are people using today to catalog books and other physical media?

The top of the image shows the famous "Rainbow Girl / Goth Girl" meme featuring sisters who look nothing alike. The bottom of the picture shows a "Flower Power" iMac G3 sitting next to a black NeXT MegaPixel monitor.
I was unloading for our Apple-themed Retro Roadshow event at the Sunnyvale Library yesterday. When I set our Flower Power iMac down onto a flatbed alongside our NeXT MegaPixel Display, my Internet-addled brain went "huh... I've seen his before..."
Took me a moment but I figured it out 😂
The Retro Roadshow is making our 3rd consecutive appearance at the Bay Area Maker Faire! Our exhibition this year is titled "Fly to the Future!" and features an incredible range of flying-themed games running on classic consoles and computers. We hope to see you there!
