Working with Electron pissed me off so much I started over on my #LocalLLM desktop app. This time using Wails, Go and React. Never worked with either of the 3 before, so it was an extra challenge, but over the last two weeks I’ve gotten a huge portion of the rework done

No they aren’t. They are totally the worst drawn cards ever and no one should ever want them. So no one should feel pressure to destroy the site day one to buy these cards when they release. Trust.

Just in case anyone is curious, I built this to have all the dream features and capabilities I couldn’t find anywhere else. All running completely locally on my machine (but has the ability to connect it to a server/computer that can handle the models). If enough interest I can post features.

Took my friends discord chat history and ran it through a transformer to waifuify him.

Front end is mine, building a desktop app to talk to AI models hosted entirely locally on my computers with Ollama.

It’s been a long while since I’ve posted a #TheKindled update, but I’m nearly at the end of the first draft. Final chapter to go, and then I start editing.

Averaging about a chapter a week, and about halfway through volume 1’s first draft. Still have the two biggest events to write, but I’m feeling more and more confident I’m gonna hit my target length.

It took forever, and I thought I would be done at 11 pages, but chapter 5 ended up being 22 pages in length. Probably going to be the longest chapter in the LN.

I opened my messages from being out last week to find the technical lead saying he sent back a ton of work because the stories didn’t have clearly defined acceptance criteria.

He is the one who wrote the fucking stories.
