Please. Don’t make me choose between Hardwick and Sim. I’d rather drink a full glass of sewage.

Yes, yes I do want an urbanist on council.
Yes, so much yes.
Wait, I thought the beef was between US + Israel with Iran. Why are both sides of the conflict bombing Beirut?
There's a moral obligation for politicians to get off Twitter. If they won't, they shouldn't get your vote.
Hey, isn’t Sim also really into bitcoin?
It’s because he has no answer. He knows this canned comment will make him look better than the true honest answer.
He lies.
Finally, something truthful from our mayor.
I don’t think anyone is going to be satisfied with these answers. Apologies for the lop sided video.
You’re suing him, right?
It would be absurd to let him lie like this with no consequence beyond a little embarrassment to his personal image.
I want accountability from Ken Sim.
This is unconscionable.
That’s a burn on Sim.
Yikes.
Honestly!
This is terrific news, Peter! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
And I’m not saying this to be cheeky or critical of your comment.
But I was literally thinking about this when I saw ads for Roots, now owned by Americans, advertising always cheering on Canada.
Maybe we should be tired of Canadians selling themselves to America instead?
Dreadful news
This speech is riveting. Makes me so glad we have Carney, not Polievre, at the helms.
It’s 2025 and everything is tipsy-turny. I can’t believe I’m agreeing with something Harper said…
This is kind of lame, actually hahaha
Housing affordability is the number one priority and pain point for their residents and these mayors are advocating for higher home prices and rents
Embarrassing

Let’s just hope it comes swiftly.
And the same guy who was always stirring up people over the most mundane shit, like uncut grass in a median in Yaletown (during Covid); or water fountains (during a climate crisis)
Guy has been clueless for forever a go.
I’ll also remind everyone that Meiszner is the same guy who said the city shouldn’t give funding to non-profit groups who criticized ABC.
Pete Meiszner is the kind of guy who pulls up the ladder after. It’s been awful to watch him this council term.
Well said.
Oof, what has become of this city!?
I’m literally just going to bed until March.
You turn that filthy mouth away from me, Michael!
I’ll keep this short. This motion would make it easier to build housing. And housing is good. That is the essence of being pro-housing. This motion applies only to social housing because making it easier to build non-profit housing is the lowest of low hanging fruits. Everyone says they support affordable housing, right? Well, listening to the speakers tonight, apparently not. But still, this advances a core pro-housing proposition: to make it easier to build housing. The pro-housing perspective would be to approve this, and then extend that same logic to other forms of housing across the city. To make it easier to build all sorts of housing everywhere. Because this is actually very simple We need more housing. We need more social housing. We need more non-profit housing. We need more market housing. We need more housing. And to do that we need to make it easier to build more housing. This motion is a step in the right direction. It is not possible to call oneself “pro-housing” but oppose this motion.
So council just decided that they will not vote on the Social Housing Initiative tonight, and gang I was not planning on live tweeting this, I am jet lagged af so I am going to bed. Here are the notes of my comments:
The cost-cutting will continue until morale improves!
