You should be able to read any paywalled story online if you write a genuine 50-word thank you to the person who wrote the social hed
Got extremely offended at about half of it, so you know this thing has juice.
Read one today where the author interviewed someone across the office and made one phone call about eating wraps, still had time to link four different videos thankfully.
Blows my mind how many culture stories today seem to be born out of the author watching three to four Tik-toks about a subject before deciding there is a trend to explore.
Our office has generated one of the most foul smelling odors I’ve ever encountered and the source has now baffled dozens of people
Documentaries are a gateway drug to true-crime, I only accept programming about nu-metal guitarists making up stories about how their house is haunted.
I bounced off The Conjuring movies too so it might just be me.
There’s some creepy images in the first one but it feels like they don’t want to commit to some of the bigger ideas the franchise alludes to. Feels weird in a franchise all about repressed memories, weird art and ancient creepy figures looming in dreams!
I have seen all but one of the Insidious films and I do not think one of them has stuck with me past the credits. Clive Barker for cornflakes eaters.
You will simply love the views inside of me, tarnished!
Abductor Virgin primly telling me all about the Volcano Manor.
I remember getting to the tie-in about how Superboy Prime is cosmically needed to return to the side of heroes before the last fight and feeling like I was going to lose my mind. Just meaningless pap for people erotically obsessed with Wikipedia citations.
I either had forgotten or was never aware that Harrison Ford narrated a trailer for THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. This is the most pretend-excited he has ever been.

It is 70 today and snow tomorrow and I’m planning on how to remove my sinuses from my body like the pharaohs of old.

You can tell this creative team got the short end of the stick very early, but getting stuck with three issues of Civil War II crossover could not have possibly helped.
David Walker and Sanford Greene’s rad as hell Power Man and Iron Fist #1.
10 years ago this month, gold standard in the modern “bring it to the present day” relaunch.
Terrible choice. MK’s biggest strength is its multitude of freaks. Show me the freaks!
It sucks because they’re pulling so much of MK 11’s aesthetics for that movie, which are great, but that game is so much more gothic and about these characters as aged figures. It just doesn’t sell what’s so evocative about th e kung-fu meets creature feature aesthetic that’s at the franchise core.
It feels so much like the very modern blockbuster plotting but the colors and the casting really evokes that dangerous feeling of the uncut animated movies. The first MK just never really felt fun.
I feel like they’ve faithfully adapted the Hyper Fighting edition cartridge I burned out as a teenager, warts and all.
Michael Keaton I think is misguided. He's very talented, but he's playing leading men who aren't funny enough. Still, for his work in BEETLEJUICE, I will be his fan forever. (1994)
I’ve been really actively trying to be a less angry and bitter person, not just spread and wallow in my depression as a personality, but really nothing gets my ire up like being exposed to any information about today’s popular streaming personalities
Recording a tik-tok about how I saw a YouTube short about how if he entombs you with the dread pharaoh, wrapped in blasphemous burial garb and chanting the curse of the tongue-king, honey, you have got to dump his ass
this has been a problem - possibly *the* mainstream American industry problem for decades.
as soon as the company tacitly accepted that their mainline books were no longer de facto children’s fare - their foundational business model since 1939 - they started wondering why the wells were going dry.
Finding out that I got stuck in this career path by fucking up my AP and SL spend on the Sphere Grid. You think I can afford to respec on my salary?
People impossibly still cannot get enough of a 4.5 minute clipped performance of the 2007 song “Umbrella” from Lip Sync Battle, hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen, which aired on the Spike Network from 2015 to 2019.
