WATCH: Trump, EPA's Zeldin announce end of scientific basis for U.S. action on climate change The Trump administration on Thursday revoked a scientific finding that long has been the central basis for U.S. action to regulate greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change, the most aggressiv...

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change—all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

Let's not blow this out of proportion. It was just an admin error. Two admin errors. A few admin errors. Seventeen admin errors worth £380,000.

Starmer once again says there will be no return to free movement of people

Please repost if you demand the restoration of the Freedom of Movement that was robbed from us by foreign interference and the worst abuses of democracy in modern British history.

I feel Zelenskyy's disappointment, bafflement, consternation- and frankly, his exhaustion at the double standards shown by these so called 'neutral' countries and their selective outrage. His reaction feels real rather than performative, unlike the responses we've seen from Modi, the UAE, and others

I'd like to see the next Dem candidate for president (and the entire party) run on a platform of immediately recognizing the ICC and supporting its prosecutions of all who violate international law including heads of state promoting murder, piracy, etc. Hold them accountable.

Remember: if a legal opinion is sound then it matters not how “great” or “distinguished“ the lawyer is.

And if it is not sound, it is not saved by the lawyer being “great” or “distinguished“.

Most asylum seekers arrive with their valuables long lost in bombed or abandoned homes, stolen, or sold to afford the dangerous clandestine passage to safety

The real thing of value to be snatched from refugees under these proposals is far more painful: their families & futures

Robbie Gibb once suggested that reporters should reflect if they were getting more retweets from one side than the other - a braindead analysis that ignores that fair and impartial reporting of education might get more Tory retweets than say, criminal justice.

Stephen really does have the best take on this. It’s not clear that the BBC Board or indeed the rest of the News team really understood the message of the previous reviews, which were about getting detail right. Instead they wanted to know what was ‘biased’ or not like they were blotting out stains.

To the idiots who keep voting these charlatans into power: they do not have your interests at heart, only their self-interest.

Adlington: 'We've nowhere to go if Grove House care home shuts' Residents and their families plea to keep Grove House in Adlington open as a consultation continues.

They don’t care about anything or anyone, it’s all about power and money.

A social media post by Karoline Leavitt (The White House Press Secretary) showing two news headlines side-by-side. The left headline, under a caption that reads "Shot" reads: "Trump goes to war with 'fake news' BBC," and the right headline under a caption that reads "Chaser" reads: "Tim Davie resigns as BBC director general over Trump documentary edit."

The left headline, under a caption that reads "Shot" reads: "Trump goes to war with 'fake news' BBC," and the right headline under a caption that reads "Chaser" reads: "Tim Davie resigns as BBC director general over Trump documentary edit."

I had my disagreements with the BBC under Tim Davie but he was a decent man doing a difficult job.

To see Trump's White House claiming credit for his downfall and attacking the BBC should worry us all.

All I see is Trump complaining about foreign media, while simultaneously intervening in foreign media. Next, the White House will be picking Davie's replacement. When will Starmer tell him to get fucked and keep out of it? That's a rhetorical question.

The BBC's senior leadership resigning en masse over one dodgy edit in one programme, simply because the right wing press demands it, tells you everything you need to know about where the power really lies in that relationship

Isn't there a silver lining though? If Starmer has the balls he'll force out more right-wing appointments himself, & turn the tide the other way. The right-wing press will kick, but screw it because at the moment the left are trying to fight by Queensberry rules and the right are bare-knuckle boxing

Far too many in SA still think Putin’s RF is legitimate successor to the USSR, which supported military action against apartheid & included Ukrainians. (Unsuccessful warfare, yet forever glorified by the ruling ANC). Musk OTOH…he’s just a vile abusive fascist and white supremacist. Isn’t it ironic.

UK Government's 'Failure to Investigate Foreign Interference' Challenged in Europe's Highest Court The group of former MPs warn that UK elections are “still at risk” over the Government’s failure to investigate "credible evidence" of Russian interference

🗞️ Covered by @bylinetimes.bsky.social, @nation.cymru, @scotnational.bsky.social - but ignored by most UK media.
At a moment when hostile states are shaping elections, that silence is part of the story.
