A terrific article by @toosphexy.bsky.social. He writes about visiting an area of the Peruvian Amazon I have also visited, back in 2016 on a photo trip. I vividly remember seeing the illegal gold mining operations as we traveled upriver. There can be terrible costs to what we value. 🌿📷🐙🐸
