Finished Flight of the Eisenstein. We got a new Loken and the whole Isstvan III story again. Very repetitive. But I liked Kaleb and the escape of the Eisenstein was exciting. The ending was kind of depressing. Everybody is a dick! Speaking of: next book is Fulgrim 🦅 #HorusHeresy #Warhammer #Booksky

I think that's fair. Nuance is totally out the window from book 2 on, imo.
And I miss the human perspective from the first book. It's more and more from the perspective of the Space Marines and - even worse - the Primarchs. I want my Remembrancers back! 📝🎨🍷 (3/3)

...the whole thing starts feeling a bit pointless. Knowing where everything will end, and that there will be no real victory for the "good" guys, makes it difficult to care about the characters, you're supposed to care about. Which is a shame, because I really like some of them. (2/3).
Lots of war and fighting in Galaxy In Flames (which I'm not the biggest fan of). The plot slowed a lot down compared to False Gods, which is good. No really memorable set pieces as in the first two books, but overall engaging and I enjoyed the read. But... (1/3) #HorusHeresy #Warhammer #Booksky

Trying out a 30 minute sculpt in real life. This thing could fall apart before I get to paint it. Never used air-dry clay before.
That intro was pretty cool. I'm looking forward to the next book by Dan Abnett. But I have no idea how they are going to justify another 60+ books when Horus is already heresying at the end of book 2.
