Eagles. It's always Howie, like Jihaad Campbell last year.

Or he was desperate to leave
5) that contract structure screams that he wanted out of NY at any cost
It reads like he just wanted out, no matter what.
Thats a year added to his current deal with 2 years left
🤞 the fanbase is as surprised as anyone else...
Reports are they've spent the last 2 weeks thrashing out the deal and it's agreed.
Nah, apparently the contract is already agreed. They've spent the last 2 weeks working on it reportedly.
Well we'll see, eh.
It definitely won't be desperation. This front office will happily take any opportunity to do nothing, as all Bengals fans will tell you 😂
The advanced metrics I've seen don't support this. Anyway, as I say, just happy to have the opportunity to find out.
10 in this draft might get you a decent offensive player, but I think part of their calculation is that the blue chip defensive players might well be gone and (I'm guessing) they are out on Delane, McCoy and possibly Bain, for various reasons.
Its great news! My one question is how it's being paid for. I guess either restructures or doing the Eagles/Saints thing and pushing all the money into future years... something they can do because they are paying so much up front on the Cook, Mafe and Allen contracts.
The difference is that it was self-evidently useful
He had a down year, but that could easily just be variance. Happy to actually have the opportunity to find out tbf
Ah, right. Shame for Shemar and others who need developing.
Would be objectively hilarious if he immediately starts by holding out in a new city 😂
4) Burrow and/or Chase restructure on their way?
I think they were never really interested in keeping Trey. He was great as a closer at the end of games (so many of his sacks were late on) but its always underrated how bad he is as a run defender. Effort for sure, but a sieve on the left side on early downs.
Montgomery? Got a decent pedigree hasn't he?
As a Bengals fan, I'm absolutely stoked for this. It was looking dicey for a defensive playmaker to be available at 10 (not impossible, but dicey) and $25m aav or whatever doesn't seem crazy. Why fleeced?
Initial thoughts on this;
1) wow, oh fuck YEAH!
2) that defensive line room must be the most expensive in the league now?
3) given the way the draft looks like its going to fall, they must have been lukewarm on Delane and out on Jermod McCoy with the injury
(apart from McKinnley Jackson, who was a bit out of consensus)

No, do it. It's death penalty level behaviour
As long as rehabilitation of inmates is a central tenet of the process, otherwise it's a factory producing career criminals.
