Nothing really. Other than the existential dread of watching US fed and state govt responses, Covid wasn’t something that had a huge impact on my daily life until it claimed my uncle in 2021.

#Spectrum internet is like the clap: no one wants it but sometimes that’s what you get.

We have to reboot our internet router at least once a week. And our service costs 50% more than it did two years ago.

If there was any other provider in this area I would end my spectrum service in a heart beat

The Constitution disagrees. The Emoluments Clause, part of Article I, Section 9, Clause 8, bans office holders from taking ANY gifts from foreign countries. There is no mention of quid pro quo. That is because the Founding Fathers knew that even the *appearance* of corruption promotes corruption.

Some personal news: the Department of Homeland Security has given me, an immigration lawyer born in Newton, Massachusetts, seven days to leave the U.S. Does anyone know if you can get Italian citizenship through great-grandparents?

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

When the dust finally settles, they will own more.

I remember growing up on stories of food shortages, scarcity, secret police, having to always be prepared to “show your papers,”gov surveillance, and other scary tales in USSR.

I’m so glad we took all of that and made it reality here and now.
