This figure is performing the role of a military policeman and wears the white equipment of the Kommandantendienst (Commandant's Service). This was a temporary duty given to regular soldiers rather than a distinct unit with permanent staff in its own right.

With hundreds of vehicles and thousands of men all filing down congested roads to the front, you're going to need a way to maintain order and keep things flowing. And that's where BRUDERKRIEG 1's All-In Tier Exclusive comes in!

Managed to catch up with Marco at Salute and see him painting live on the @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social stand. Incredibly lucky to work with such a talented guy who only keeps getting better.

The scenario we were running was a daring helicopter-borne NVA raid on West Berlin's Tempelhof airport and it really showcased the drama, action and hilarity that makes Battlegroundhd such a fun set of rules.

Nearly recovered from Salute 53 but with 4 days before the East German Kickstarter goes live there's no time for a rest!

I really enjoyed getting the new figures (in Fallschirmjager commando mode) onto the tabletop for the first time, we had a lot of fun and it proved to be a real motivation boost.

It's nearly time for the next chapter in our ongoing Berlin '84 campaign.

Will the Fallschirmjägers' high-risk assault pay off? Will the American defenders be able to hold out against an overwhelming Pact offensive? There's only one way to find out...

The unique feature of the NVA platoon was the shear amount of machine guns - two RPKs in every squad (although they generally lacked heavier fire support so this was intended, in a way, to make up for that) and the Core Platoon will include enough machine gun armed Mot.-Schützen to reflect that.

When dismounted they wouldn't typically have had a backpack radio (there's a radio in their vehicle and they shouldn't ever be too far from that) although a "Funker" will be included as a Stretch Goal for Fallschirmjäger and KdA units.

Every unit needs a leader and these officers and NCOs are always some of my favourite figures to sculpt. Mot.-Schützen organisation was heavily based on Soviet doctrine and so the platoon's command element is fairly light, just two men.
