“Oh look, breach hull, all die. I even had it underlined.”
“If aquarium gravel’s so bad for you, how come it tastes so good?”
“Alright, brain, I don’t like you and you don’t like me. But if you get us out of this, I’ll go back to killing you slowly with beer.”
“It’s a deal!”
I really luv where this discussion is going.
What’s your favorite Bible verse? (Wrong answers only)
Through the darkness of future's past,
The magician longs to see.
One chants out between two worlds...
"Fire... walk with me."
Comic. [Person and person with white hat facing two boxes stacked with $80 price tag and sale tag on each box.] PERSON 1: They want $80 for this? I could make one myself for $10 in parts, an hour of work, a trip to the hardware store, another $30 in parts, another few hours of work, two more trips to the store for $20 more in parts, another hour of work to redo the first hour of work because I messed up, and $80 to buy this when the one I made breaks.

This really has Napelonic War - squadron at sea vibes.
I listen on my commute, so I rarely see their video in any format. But get that bag, as you said!
They used to be all over Behind the Bastards (a couple of years ago?) and then they dropped, but then or a replacement are probably coming soon. Also gold investments.
I suspect Chumba Casino will be back on my podcast episodes soon.
I guess so much for the ecological, net zero carbon focus…
I was going to post this myself, but torn about going with Miller’s Crossing instead
I think only licensed interpreter with Hindi, Urdu, AND Punjabi skills - I assume not the only Hindi interpreter.
I'm sure your AI manager will listen carefully to your concerns and give you generally positive, unspecific advice.
I think about what some comic said about these “older man, younger woman” relationships - “what do you even talk about? What do you have in common?” It seems hard to think of any sort of day to day life with two people in such different cycles of life.
I still really love it and I’m very hopeful about the Apple series coming out this year.
Book - Neuromancer
Movie - Terminator (but also Time Bandits and 12 Monkeys)
Album - Girl With the Dragon Tattoo soundtrack (the Trent Reznor one)
She’s lovely! Long may she reign!
I was working with a therapist in ‘21 and in an aside she complained about how her investment portfolio was doing under Biden vs Trump and I immediately thought “I don’t trust this woman any longer”
What a perfect commemoration of a bad philosophy and design in an underperforming package.
I think they’re paying “the signature collectors”, not the signers. It still leads to a lot of perverse incentives and fraud.
I remember my dad had a Murphy's Laws of Engineering poster. The aphorism that stuck to me was:
"If carpenters built houses the way programmers write software, the first woodpecker that came along would destroy civilization"
I actually went skydiving for the first and only time for my (first) bachelor party. Because I’m an obsessive nerd I looked up the statistics and saw that you’re much more likely to die if you’ve jumped 20-50 times than in jumps 1-5. (You get cocky and think you can do cool shit before you’re ready)
That movie is so great, and the mafia looks so washed.
The Hole cover of Gold Dust Woman is excellent
I think that’s how T Reznor got into the soundtrack and score business.
Almost all of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’s scores, but especially:
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
The Social Network
All three of these are amazing
