Fun little Shad fact- I've acted as professor Delacey (the blind old man the creature becomes friends with) on stage once.

There's so much good in this film. The cast, the script, the direction, the set design. The way it stayed as close to the novel as I honestly think was possible. Absolutely wonderful.
