Sure but what are the odds?

Um, no. Not this. Not even remotely. What I’m picturing is a contemporary love story told through the frame of repressed unrequited love. If I’m wrong and this advertisement incorrectly sells the Ladyhawk experience, let me know. That was the 80’s man, those trailers lie.
Oh no. Is that Ladyhawk? You’re not going to believe this but I grew up on a farm in the 80s and never saw it. He’s a lady and she’s a hawk and they hunt each other by day and night in an oppressive Deus Ex human digital fascist regime?
Philosophically it’s the literal embodiment of “with great power” as it’s an invitation for the Boy Scout to use his powers to destroy the very villains who created him. A twisted take on the dark crusader. Lil more Castle than Knight. See what I did there? Frank Calstle v Dark Knight? Feel me?
So Blumhouse Spider-Man. Small. Smart. Contained. It’s THE FLY with Spider-Man powers. Is that a Sony IP? Is that in the extended universe? One of the Sinister Six? The A24 superhero movie. Made for nothing. Great character actors. A stage play. One location. Limited cast. Practical effects.
Used their respective positions at leading genetics labs with recently relaxed AI guidelines to create a piece of the puzzle. A syrum, if you will. A formula, that, once taken, once impregnated in a female spider would offer the resulting babies a radioactive touch. And he’s the host.
So…
To convert them one by one staging the scene as the Boy Scout against a literal devil’s advocate.
So it turns out they already have a secret club. They’re already working together.
“Without me?”
They nod. Our man has the hairs stand up on his arm. Spidey sense.
Turns out each of them…
Right comic on the right day to save their lives. That’s the power of comics. The way they can reach kids. It hits.
So it turns into a philosophical debate about how Spider-Man is actually a supervillain. To which there was much consternation. Huge debate as one by one the ringleader starts
“I’m asking you to care. I’m asking to believe in humanity. In the human project.”
“Oh, jeez. Not again.”
They’ve been having this fight since grad school.
Anyway Spider-Man comes up. They’re all huge fans. They challenge each other with trivia and heartfelt personal stories of reading the…
And they’re all at different companies, each breaking ethical and legal boundaries with AI. And the guy who’s really leading this charge is a Boy Scout. An Eagle Scout. He’s hoping to recruit them all on a secret mission, to infiltrate the company and report violations. “You’re asking me to spy?”
In their 40s. Great actors not movie stars. Or like, in the 40’s these guys would have been international players but the old studio system is dead and the streaming age isn’t built for them. GREAT actors.
And they’re all super effin concerned about the use of AI in human genetic engineering.
Could you do Spider-Man without the rights? I mean, is this evidence? Exhibit JJ?
But what if a group of scientist friends get together at an annual retreat? They’re buddies from MIT. They get a cabin together once a year, though life keeps getting in the way so it’s been a decade. Character actors

Living in a surveillance based totalitarian regime which outlawed any changelings from society as an effort to crack down on personal freedom and tighten its already vice-like grip on citizens.
So they have one weekend every full moon to go deep into the woods and be themselves. A luxury to love.
He tries to run. Now it’s a game. And she’s down to play. She licks the drop of blood from her sharp fingernail and smiles. “Run little rabbit, run.”
Like, they’re cursed as wolf and vampire, destined to kill their mate every day and night, with only moments at dusk and dawn to be human lovers.
He wants to run.
Maybe not consciously. But some primal instinct leads to fear. She’s growing stronger. Her appetite insatiable. He knows. He tells her to stop. She does not. Rack focus from the horizon as day loses its fight with night to her eyes, darker than they were, less human.
Clothes. Pawing her human lover, his apologies, his concern, “Did I hurt you?” He sees the scratch. “Please.” Spoken with an eye roll, she flips him over, under her. See, as day gives way to night, SHE becomes the predator. Her passion intense. As is her hunger. He doesn’t want her to stop but…
See, every day he hunts her, pure animal wolf instinct. Predatory. A killer. And she’s human, so she’s vulnerable. So she runs. But just when he reaches her, just as he’s about to make the kill, the sun disappears below the horizon and she’s face to face with her lover. Ripping hungrily at her…
Orwell’s Twilight available on the Amazon store for purchase. The story begins as a young woman is running through the woods, early evening, not quite sunset. She. Is. Terrified. Looking back. Panicked. She has escaped and runs with the conviction of never going back. Then she hears the growl.
RIP Jaime. Prayers for Simone and Ben.
Hey! Good for you. Ima yum your yum.

Hollywood is in the content business.
Um, one again your Hollywood goggles blind you to reality. I’m not saying she’s MBJ. I’m saying fame, as a value indicator is duplicatable. Run 1M versions of Tilly with A/B testing variations and she will go viral. Once she goes viral she’s valuable to brands. Branded content Endorsements.
How did he get famous? How does anyone get famous? Apply 100 years of star making to a barrier free direct to consumer visual medium. Tilly and countless others will be famous.
Upselling. Dealing with jerks. Managing casual sexism. Defending women from unwanted advances. Making old drunks feel powerful. Negotiating. Persuasion. Survival in the weeds. Managing cruel lush instinct to cause harm. Bartending and Washington both.
WE know what that means. But I find, and this may not be your experience, sometimes folks not in the biz of storytelling, lack sufficient language to process and articulate big feelings. They’re fed slop. When they encounter an authorial voice, they struggle. It is, in fact, interesting.
More than one reader has been brought to tears by my new script. Tearfully sharing their own stories of predation and trauma. Stories they’ve never told. This is scary to me. Like awakening some ancient evil. I hope the telling takes away its power and doesn’t feed the monster.
