I have had a major change to my 2026 schedule. I greatly regret that I will be unable to attend SDCC (comic-com international) this year. I still hope to be at Worldcon and World Fantasy Con.

In March, 2025, US District Judge James Boasberg ordered that a plane of Venezuelan deportees headed for El Salvador must stop. Kristi Noem ignored his order. Judge Boasberg attempted to file Criminal Contempt charges. Judge Michelle Childs, Federal Appeals Court ordered it ended. Names to remember.

For sf and fantasy writers who go to cons: do you have a set criteria for deciding which cons to attend? How do you decide in the cost versus benefits scale? How big a criteria is 'fun'?

Wondercon is over. It was the best organized con I have been to in years! You could get the schedule on your phone OR look up panels etc in a slender printed out program book. So easy for me. A volunteer helped me get to my panels and signings on time. Original art and goods in the dealers rooms.

You made me smile! Look up the origin of the word sabotage! Throw your shoes into a printing press to stop it!!!!

#Wondercon in Anaheim, I am headed your way. SeaTac airport is fully functional. Scooted right through checking my suitcase at #AlaskaAirlines due to super helpful staff. Breezed through security, thanking a wonderful TSA agent on the way. All systems go.
