Sometimes I miss appointment television. Like, all the time. Especially because I now need 10 streaming services to watch watch the shows I want and instead of enjoying them throughout a year, I binge each one in no time at all and feel far less invested in the series. Storytelling needs time.

Nope. But that's no big deal. Ringo Awards are a pretty cool group. There are awards I've been nominated, won, lost where they invite you to the ceremony and expect you to pay to attend. That's crazy to me.

My wife started up her dog boarding bookings recently after we took a few weeks off from it. Two bookings this week suddenly turned into four bookings, one an emergency booking. We now have eight dogs in the house and, while I love dogs, I may have some regrets...

I completely forgot that I was nominated for a Ringo Award five years ago. Now I have to figure out if there were others I forgot. This is the problem with having a website, being a freelancer, etc. You have to remember the things that build your value to clients but it's also so cringe to do so.

Came across a scan of this cover, penciled by dad, and inked by me. I inked a couple Green Arrow covers that dad did and it was such a cool experience. Maybe one day, I'll get to do a Green Arrow story.

I think it's novel the first time you try it and then you just move on.

No ADHD here. My wife has it. I'm just a recovering a-hole with anxiety disorder.

You'll never see it on my face, but nine times out of ten, I'm mentally begging for you to eliminate all the unnecessary details from your story. Whether it's just you telling me about your day or if it's a 600 page epic you've written. A rich story is great, but an overcluttered story is torture.

Is there anything as ubiquitous as Dubai chocolate in the last year or so? It's everywhere.

Oh, I hope it's great. I want nothing more than these kinds of projects to succeed. I just have reservations about taking things that exist so perfectly in one format and adapting it to another format. Sometimes it takes the shine off of the original and even kills the genre a bit.

You talking about the MyHouse mod? I've seen that one, which references House of Leaves. It's pretty cool and trippy.

It looks like we've hit the era of liminal space films. Both the Back Rooms and Exit 8 are coming to theaters. It'll be any day now when some producer decides they can turn House of Leaves into a film...

I'm not vain. I just added an awards page to my website because it really balances out that navigation bar to have an extra button on it...

My wife is now collecting cats and various animals in Crimson Desert. It's a real escape from her life of collecting various animals on our farm.

Yea. It's pretty amazing how willing people are to help. There are also people with bases that farm resources and offer them to anyone who visits for free.

Like virtually every other game, No Man's Sky has its fair share of trolls and people who make the experience worse, however, those numbers are nothing compared to the well meaning and supportive players who make the experience so much better. It's really a wonderful game.

I have pretty good reflexes. If you drop something, I can catch it. You would think, therefore, I'd be good at juggling. Nope. I have absolutely no rhythm. Can't juggle to save my life.
