I keep seeing "all authors use AI, the real issue is they're being forced to be sneaky about it" headlines.

Full stop No. This is a lie peddled for normalization. It's schoolyard-level pressure tactics "C'mon, all the cool kids are already doing it. We won't tell. It's fine. We're on your side."

Hanging out, solving puzzles together, finding lore, having epiphanies. Maybe I just have real nerd ass friends lol but one of my favorite memories is of playing the OG Myst while my sister hung out with me and she would be so enthusiastic every time I solved a puzzle. It was so much fun.

Journey actually accounts for several spots on this list but I wanted to keep it spicy.

I've never played Dragon's Dogma myself, but I have watched, and Grigori is the coolest.

Also, know that when I say "needs a remake" what I mean is "they need to try this whole thing again."

I am wholly aligned with you on Journey and Chants of Sennaar, and I suspect that if I ever get the guts to finish RDR2, that one as well 😭

I think its important to occasionally remind ourselves that no one is specifically thinking about *you* as often as you worry or think they are. Hell, odds are good *you* think about you *too* often

Did observatories exist before telescopes? One example that still stands today is the Beijing Ancient Observatory in China. Starting in the 1400s astronomers erected large instruments here to enable them to measure star and planet positions with increasing accuracy. Pre-telescopic observatories throughout the world date back to before recorded history, providing measurements that helped to determine when to plant crops, how to navigate ships, and when religious ceremonies should occur. The above hand-painted lantern slide was originally taken in 1895.

I’m doing better than I thought I would in some ways and worse in others. My emotional state reads like a seismograph. Moments of peace with the state of things and then these spikes of grief. I think the worst part is the helplessness in those moments. No fixing it. Just have to endure.

Hello all.

I've been fighting w/ AMD for WEEKS & they keep giving me the run around.

So, while I continue to fight w/ them, I've started a kofi to get a new mobo & CPU so I can get my PC back up.

If you can donate, tysvm! If you can't, spreading the word (& link) helps alot!

Had to say goodbye to my cat last night. Had him from 3 months old until he was two months from 20. It wasn’t unexpected, and maybe I shouldn’t be surprised at how much it still hurts, but I didn’t expect how much my whole body would physically ache from grief. Love you forever, Henry.

Hayao Miyazaki films start in his sketches—his "image boards." It’s a habit he’s kept up for 60 years.

He works fast and loose, mainly in pencil and watercolor. Perfection isn't the goal. But you can trace his growth through the pictures. We explore:

Desperate request that we please stop calling AI being wrong as "hallucinating." It's not hallucinating, it's making shit up. It's generating false information. Much like the bastardization of the word gaslighting, we will do everything we can not to just call something lying.

She didn't ingest any, for those who might be concerned, she just got confused and thought it was a blade of the tall grass she likes to chomp and then chomped it but once before I screeched and ran at her, which moved her off that shit pretty quick. I tore up all the daylily in the yard last year..
