This week we are wrapping up the update that will improve app launch speeds. Internal testing will start in a couple of days.
We continue to work on the browser version of Foto. Specifically, we are working on the single Post page and the single Portfolio page.

Ok our next update should be a big improvement for loading times
How many accounts are you following?
We’ve found a way to speed up app loading times for everyone. We are working on that now and hope to be able to have an update in 2 weeks that will reduce the app loading time down to 2-3 seconds.
We also are continuing to work on fixing bugs with the browser version of Foto.
In case you wonder (I know you don’t 😉), I’m also on @fotoapp.co

Hi John! We are currently working on speeding up the app loading time for Android and Apple. That is a separate issue for us to tackle.
0.10.55 seems to have helped the scrolling experience for almost all Android users, so unsure why your experience is different. What phone and OS are you on?
Thanks Dave
Are you on Foto 0.10.55? That updated the scrolling experience. We are now working on the app loading times.
Can you share more details on the exact areas you are unhappy with?
Foto Browser Update - March 31st, 2026 - This video shows our latest progress on the Browser version of Foto. We have made good progress on the Home Feed, Discovery Page, Notification Page, and Profile Page! We’ll be sharing more as we drill down into the details a bit more.
You’re welcome
Foto 0.10.55 is here! This improves the Android experience, scrolling, & fixes some bugs.
fixed:
Android infinite scroll gets stuck
Fresh install sign-in says No-posts in my-profile
Fresh install sign-in results in empty home-feed
Users get randomly signed-out
Added password visibility toggle
Makes things calmer. 😊
Scroll up. We have a bug where sometimes the searched username is hidden behind the search field
Photography fans can now include social links to their @fotoapp.co or @glass.photo accounts in Pagecord and get the logo in their navigation!
Pagecord now supports image galleries as well, so it's a great place to create a personal website or photo blog :)

I recommended the @fotoapp.co to Jason Lee and now he’s hanging out on there! 😃 the.fotoapp.co/jason_lee
Here's a peek at our progress on the upcoming Home Feed for the Browser version of Foto! More to come!
No longer on Twitter or Meta platforms. Just here and on @fotoapp.co . Can't use film anymore because of an allergy, but love seeing what you all do! If the world were right, I'd be strictly working with HP5, FP4, Delta3200 and a Rolleiflex. Alas...

We are working extremely hard on the full browser version of Foto and fixing the Android performance issues. The browser version is a big undertaking, which is why we haven't posted a lot recently.
We are beyond excited to get this into your hands!
Working on it as fast as we can! It’s quite complicated to get it right but we’ll get there.
Foto 0.10.53 is now available for all Android and Apple users.
We smoothed out the scrolling for the Home and Discovery Feed and squashed some bugs.
We are now working on Android Performance Improvements & Browser development continues!
I wish everyone photographer here was on @fotoapp.co. It's my favorite app to share photos and there's no political hot takes to sift through on my feed. It's just photographers posting photos. If you're over there, please give me a follow and I'll follow you back.

Words from Lee Griffith, a Foto member on why Foto is different.
Hey hey! Michael here! I'm going to be in Detroit on March 26th and 27th. I'd love to do some sort of Foto event. It could be a Foto Walk, a Foto meetup, and/or a Foto pop-up exhibition.
Are there any photographers or art galleries in Detroit that want to chat???
You can finally share your @fotoapp.co profile on other apps, so here's mine. 😊 #photography

There isn’t an error we are aware of. Can you email help@fotoapp.co with more details and screenshots and we’ll investigate further
Appreciate the pushback.
‘owned by the community’ was probably the wrong phrasing. What we mean is we’re bootstrapped, independent, and building for users rather than investors. Not the same as decentralized ownership.
We need to update that phrasing so it’s more clear.
Fair. We’re 3 people, so we’re building centralized to move fast and focus on the product itself. Decentralization is interesting but it’s not what we can tackle right now. Might revisit as we grow.
